Why trygons? They are amazing models and are beasts in CC. Why no stealers? Because they can't assault upon arrival.

stealers are really bad now... their best shot was outlank and assault.. tervigon and gaunts is the way to go...

And them trygons? Best heavy choice... And the model is just amazing! It looks frightening!


I prefer the first list, 1 flyrant is good, 2 are great... Just learned that in the last game i've played... I had normal tyrant and WISHED so much i've put wings on it...

Perennial Nid problem. You only have 3 elite slots. 2 hive guard and Doom are always good choices, but you can always make an argument for zoanthropes, ymgarls.

I like first list. Dual flyrant and dual trygon is a nice combination.

yes. normal stealer bad I agree.

Ah and my bad just noticed its 1850 . Somehow all nid players here refuse to play under 2k pts aka double FoC.

I dont like trygons because of their size and how fast they go down , but then again I do play IG .

For or your advice all. It seems like list 1 is the way to go. I really wish I could add some yrmgrls but as mentioned above there are only 3 slots and the doom is pretty safe beat and the hive guard...well they are the best unit.

What is a good rule of thumb for having enough termagaunts to spawn. In other words how many gaunts should I have spare for spawning for each tervigon?

Ok that's good. I own about 60 so I should be good. I wouldn't spawn as much in the lone KP game should it come up in the tourny but I could always find some more if needed.

Someone rolls well for their tervigons! For 2 tervigons, ignoring the one's you have to pay for to make them troops, I don't think you really need more than 40 - you might even manage with nearer 30. You rotate the models, so as 10 are killed you can use the same models for the next spawning. But hey, I'm good at rolling doubles ...

Why are you buying gargoyles to screen the flyrants? You need 6s to hit them, they get a Jink and in all honesty should only be in the air until they find Combat...I feel like you can find a better use for those points

If I go second the Flyrants need something in front of them. Or I can use the gargoyles to screen the tervigons.

If youthink I can use the 90 pts elsewhere that could work too. I could always add two more hive guard and drop a TS from a trygon.

List 1 - personally i would drop the gargoyles and AG off of 1 of the tervigons (i know but 10 points has to come from somewhere) and give the 2 squads of gants devourers. All that firepower is sweet and it makes those gants really effective.

I really do want those gaunts to have the devourers but without a pod to go in it is very tough to ensure they make it in range to even shoot.

The extra range from 12" to 18" makes a huge difference. Use the free gants to shield them first turn and then run them ahead and shoot T2/3 - but 10 strong broods for this is maybe a streych. We are talking minor changes to the list and the gargoyles are not necessarily a bad choice. For some reason everyone is paranoid about them as the models are so big and fires everything at them which is why I always use them in vanilla format. At 6 pts a model I'm happy to take wounds on them rather than hive guard, tervigon etc.
