Look it seems like YOU have a problem with YOUR pink mareens. Either paint em or live with em. Worry is intrest paid on a debt never called.

Look at my signature. I have been using pink dice for decades. Started years ago at Gen Con. I had an entire bag of the best Chessex Dice stolen. They were beautiful. One of the first sets of marbled colored in numbers (yeah Im old enough that I had to use crayon on my dice). I had to run to Chessex and asked "what is the least liked dice". Pink.

Never had another die stolen. Look at it that way, and if you have Pink Marines, they will be easy to find even on a colorful table top.

As someone who likes playfully poking fun of people, especially strangers, I would definitely lightly mock you for something during a game, and you had pink models, I would probably mock that.
However, if you played slaanesh but didn't have pink models, I would mock you for being homophobic and/or being self-conscious. In fact, I would mock you far more, because it would be funnier and because it makes you look like the bad guy, since you are implying there is something wrong with having feminine traits.
That being said, I live with my gay brother and thus I am very pro-gay, so I am biased and probably don't represent the majority.

I've had very good luck with the following:
Imperial Purple Basecoat (VMC Royal Purple)
Liche Purple Layer (VMC Purple)
Warlock Purple Layer (VMC Magenta)
Baal Red Wash

If you take a look at my EC Possessed CSM, that's the color scheme I used. It's bordering on fuchsia, but I think it looks quite nice if you don't want to go full-on pink. For Noise Marines I'd say go all-out gaudy pink.

If they're already painted pink, keep 'em pink. It'll be all the better when you stomp another army with the Children.

Get a pink & black shirt. Not black & pink, but one with pink as the dominating colour. Wear that shirt every time you play against someone with your pink marines (also, wash it regularly with a high-quality detergent).

Revel in your pinkness, flaunt it, but do it in a good-natured way.

But there isn't anything feminine/gay about pink. Actually, there's nothing feminine about being gay at all - that's just a stereotype. I have a gay friend who plays Necrons* and is about as far from being girly as possible. I, on the other hand, am about the most flamboyant person I know, but I am neither gay nor a girl.

You are right about the self-conscious/homophobic angle, though. Mostly people find things to worry about when it's only they themselves who sees the issue.

With having dozens of chapters all in the same armor and color bing the onlyt hing distinguishing them... eventually the color pallete would run out and someone would be pink.

Who cares? Anyone who is gonna see them will understand the fluff. Anyone who won't will just think they are painted cool.

Plus double Slanesh points if the shirt's a "I <3 Boobies" or "Save the Boobies" tee.

I get a lot of crap for playing Blood Angels in that I play a Team Edward army. It probably didn't help that I mentioned I was thinking of taking a Space Wolves allied detachment. But I don't care, we all just take the mick out of each other for the armies we play. If anyone does take the mick, just respond with a reasonable amount of mick taking yourself.

I used to get my chops busted for yellow marines (Imperial Fists) but simply put, petty people say petty things. I have this BA player who gives me crap because there are a whole 2 things I want for (that I feel make sense for the army) space wolves - a multi-melta razorback & a dual CCW dread. He insists on going off on a rant about how BA don't have anything "either". So that's just people, blow it off & realize your opinion is all that matters.

I saw a pink emperor's children army on the table once... You had to have absolutely no balls in order to insult that army, otherwise with all the kicks to the groin you'd be in a lot of serious pain. Seriously, one of the best armies I'd ever seen, hands down.

Pink as a femenine colour? As a student who is a fan of Focoult it is important to remember where standars first apears, as the world always changes.

Check out the pic of the EC marine in the new BRB. I personally think it looks quite badass. (Pink helmety mask thing, and a black body highlighted with purple.)

I can see what the OP's primary concern for other peoples opinion for a 'pink' army and instantly say, why be worried about what that sort of person would think? Who cares what they think? its your army not theirs. Pink is a cool colour and I love the emperor's children. I wouldnt give a damn that they were pink. anyone who did, I wouldn't bother worrying about.

I have a color scheme for my noise marines that is mostly dark purple and bright flourescent red, there may be some pink in there but it is not as prominent. The main reason I did this is because I wanted them to still be grimdark, and menacing. Now, if you can use pink and still get your army to look evil and menacing, people will respect you more... because that is really hard, just because of the associations that color brings up in people's minds. Don't care about haters. It's not the most masculine thing but what do you have to prove? Do what you like and what you think is cool. Most of your games should be with cool guys or friends, if not why play the game?

I play dark, brooding, emo Dark Angels...Painted orange.
