As someone that has played with most of the things that comes in the first two chests, it is not a bland game. And just because a chest goal isn't reached doesn't mean there won't be eventual releases. Idk, maybe I'm a little fanboi-ish, but the final fantasy tactics games weren't bland when my buddies and I played against each other on the GBA with similar teams since we all theorycrafted our parties...

The dwarf doesn't really do it for me atm, reminds me of the little helmeted guys from Megaman, but they're definitely not your typical fantasy dwarves (ala whfb and dnd).

I'm curious to see some greens for the Earth chest if they're ready before the KS ends, but I'm not so thrilled with the concept art. Then again, I always stuck to the human classes in tactical RPGs so I'm not terribly surprised I'm liking the more human models. From the names it sounds like there should be a good mix of humans and non to look forward to though.

My only concern (even though I went ahead and pledged anyways, cuz it sounds fun) is that if the KS doesn't get into the stretch goals that add extras to the chests $50 for a chest with 3 models vs. $30 for just getting the models seems like a pretty awful deal. Although, who knows, maybe the extra cards that come with the chest are that valuable. Still, it's been 2 days and the thing is almost at $10k. I'll be surprised if it doesn't hit 100k.

Earth Troll will definitely be shown before the Campaign ends, Not sure on the Dwarf Gunsmith or Beastmen Laborer yet.

As for Humans/Monster Races, all 19 Classes will get Humans for sure (as the majority of stretch goals are for Humans), and if we get high enough in the stretch goals we'll have a Male and Female option for each class. We intend to further flush that out with Dwarf, Orc, and Elf versions of most of the classes.

I never said the game was bland at all. I downloaded the quickstart rules and tried it out as well. I simply don't like the Earth Chest concept sketches so for me, right now, I think that only playing with two boxes will be bland, as eventually my group will play it to death. This does't preclude me from suddenly liking the greens, or other concept art. It's a preliminary opinion based on what I've been shown or seen. Again I'm aware there will be more eventual releases but if I don't like the current art style it may not be a good investment as it were. No need to be a fanboi, I'm not saying the game is terrible and a failure, I'm just sayong that right now it's not doing anything for me. Hardly a damning opinion from a stranger on the internet.

No worries, we'll tempt you with something else.

We're a couple of Thieves away from 10k, so not far from being funded.

There were some requests on the comments for an additional unit card leak, so I've promised to release another one and two item cards when we 15k. We'll also show off the Water Crystal Chest stuff at that point as well.

Cannot wait to see some more artwork!

Hey all, sorry for the lateness of this, but we're meeting a new class... I was sure as hell that we had previewed this before, but apparently not >_<. Without further ado, I present the Cleric:

Cleric


Cleric, The Penitent Priest
The Churches and Temples of the 6 Gods are spread across all of Terra, and within them, the Clerics lead worship and use the magical energies given to them by their deity to heal and bless. The Cleric is most commonly a follower of Numina. She learns holy magic and often journeys the countryside sharing the good word. Not uncommon are priests of Undinite, the Goddess of Water, who also holds healing power and helps crops to grow.

Clerics are focused on support, strengthening allies with boons or healing damage they have received. In moments of divine fury a Cleric can crush the wicked, but this can severely drain their MP. The ultimate skill of the Cleric is to resurrect the dead, but this leaves a Cleric without any further support to give.

We posted another update, and showed off some more monster artwork for the Water Crystal Chest. If Trolls and Dwarves aren't your thing, maybe Gels?

I was joking with Em earlier, that maybe some people are keeping them as pets, and they dress them up like people do with dogs and cats.

As we grow ever closer to our goal we're able to calculate the costs better based off what everyone's reward tier is. Using that information, and the known costs for art/sculpting/casting/etc we've determined that we can lower the goal posts for our stretch goals.

Stretch Goal # 1 - $20k - Earth & Water

Yep, At 20k both the Earth & Water Crystal Chests will be available as options.

Continuing this trend...

Stretch Goal #2 - $30k - Miasma & Void Crystal Chests
Stretch Goal #3 - $45k - Enhanced Item Deck (54 Cards), Bag of Loot mini, and Printed Rulebook.
Stretch Goal #4 - $60k - Enhance All! Fire Crystal Chest Gains: Fire Troll, Extra Adept, Extra Squire. Air Crystal Chest Gains: Rhapsodist. Earth Crystal Chest gains: Beastmen Engineer, 2 extra Beastmen Laborers. Water Crystal Chest gains: Rune Fencer, Crusader, extra Gel Warrior, extra Gel Wizard. Well done on hitting the 10k mark, nice to see this project almost funded. I quite like the water crystal chest can't wait to see some scuplts from it (the cleric mostly).

Out of question is there any chance we'll see some previews from the Void and Miasma chests some time soon.

Hey everyone, we are nearing 12 thousand dollars, so instead of hiding them, tell your wife, tell your kids that EFT is getting funding from everybody up in here (or tell them that everybody in cleveland got obama phone... idk, that lady is crazy.)

You guys ever considered doing some kickstarter only limited edition miniatures, seems to have worked pretty well for many other kickstarters, could help give this one a bit of a push.
I know moneys probley a bit short for you guys right now, but surly you can get a scupltor to do a LE on the cheap, you guys seem to have a small yet very didicated group of fans, ask around its not unheard of.

Well either way just a friendly surggestion.

Yep, the $65k Stretch goal will be Kickstarter exclusive version of one of our Hero models, a fighter who is stuck in an Endless battle across time.

Yay, my hands are in a video.

Very good work on the video folks! I'm super excited to give the game another play through. I'm actually introducing the game to three of my buddies tomorrow morning, I'm thinking they'll like it a lot (and hopefully they'll pledge too)!

While I'm a fan of your "other game", I'm happy to see this doing well . Will watch the demo vid when I get home.
