I'm liking the Assassin Cunning tree a lot.
It's like an unholy combo of Siren and Gunslinger Hunter.

I've just preordered this
I managed to get my university reasing list down to £35 from the £230 prediction given to me by amazon, so I decided that I could put up with not drinking or eating out for the next 2 weeks to pay for it.
It also unlocks the mechromancer class because its a preorder, so now I don't know which class to play as

I know that, it comes out in October, but it does unlock the mechromancer, and I haven't finished the first yet, and by the time I do, the mechromancer will likely have been released.

I'm sifting through SQL code and comparing phrases involving harazardous things making sure that a code for, "cancerous inhalant" is not accidentally using the same code as, "non-toxic, safe to ingest"...

The game's pretty fun, been playing it solo before i start the co-op. Picked the assasin on impulse but i regret it as the shotguns and snipers are less fun than i thought they'd be.

The Sniper tree does not really shine on Zer0 until later on.
Axton's Gunpowder tree suffers from the same issue.

Have been having the most fun with the pistols. Really wanted to use stealth + shotgun but i can only see a couple perks later on that might be useful (i think there's a 'backstab' style one and a Vanguard biotic charge thingy). It's still servicable but defo not a very efficinet way to play.

And more golden keys too? Nice. I missed Shift at first, in case anyone else did. Also - in case people missed it, you do not need to have 5 per tier to unlock abilities, you need to have spent five, per tier unlocked, to unlock abilities. Which is to say - if you put 10 points into tier one abilities, tier three abilities are available without choosing any from tier two. I missed that for too long, in case anyone else did as well.

I'm in the cunning tree mostly, but what I normally do is iron sights with a pistol until either my shield dies, I need to move to a better piece of cover or an enemy gets in melee range/enemy is a Badass. From there I pop stealth and move to a new location if it's one of the first two, or if it's the third situation, I equip my shotgun, sneak behind the enemy and hit them in the backside with the shotgun. With 5 points in ambush and Kunai knives handing out Deathmarks to the enemy, When I fire the shotgun, something dies.
Dropped a Badass Goliath in one shot from the shotty using that tactic.

Has anyone else noticed that there's no decapitation?
I've been popping heads with a high powered sniper rifle, and despite there being meat chunks flying everywhere, the targets' craniums were still very much intact.

Got the game last night and I'm playing through as Zer0 to start. I'm only level 6 so I don't have many skills yet. I had a lot of difficulty with Captain Flynt because the only reasonable pistol I had did flaming damage (so it was useless on the fire boss), and my other weapon was a rifle that didn't seem to do much damage either. Took me 4 deaths to put him down because every time he would knock me down it would be out of sight of an enemy, leaving me unable to get a second wind. I forgot just how much low levels sucked to play solo in the first game!

Really? I found it to be fairly easy. You just have to cloak alot to give yourself some breathing room.
Also, the shotgun is your friend. Especially Jacob's.

Yeah that's part of the problem. I haven't found a shotgun that has more than one round in the chamber with a long reload time. It 1 shots enemies, but I can't really do anything while the weapon reloads for 4 seconds, so I get eaten alive. Once I find a decent shotgun with a reasonable clip size I should have an easier time.
Also, I intend to go sniper on this character, which I realize does not really shine until later levels, but I like the look of the tree.

Really? I keep finding shotguns with 3 rounds, giving me about 2 shots before reloading.
Sure, it's risky, but it can 1 hit kill most enemies. Especially if you use decoy.
