to answer a couple of questions, one entry per person will be required as well as at least one image of the work in progress during the comp these can be added into the thread for perusal and inspiration for us all!

I'm compiling a list of entrants as we go and I'll post it up in about a week!

OK, so I'm excited. Here is the squad, some Necromunda Scavvies, with the leader, a Van Saar Juve (the little guy in the top right...).



They will count as a Penal Squad for my Steel Legion army

Does the model have to be 40k or can fantasy be done? wondering cuz ive stopped canibalizing my lizardmen for my salamanders and have an unpainted saurus champion staring at me even as i type this......

For this year it's just 40K as it's what i'm familiar with :-) but maybe a future comp we'll encompass both systems?

actually you should do a sort of mirror/mirror dio like star trek did...with whfb and 40k on each side^^

That's fine ldd, as long as it's not painted is fine as a start, and i should also ask everyone to send the finished pics to me via PM so i can collate them at the finale!

did some test about it too...

as for my own needs for that comp... if i am really good i will enter two leaders... as i am combining three comps i am joining... all in one big scheme... something like rollerball... but without balls and rollers...

I'll chuck my name in for this one too, I'm on a bit of a Dark Vengeance kick at the moment so I'll post up a WIP of my Cultist squad leader when he's pinned in place.

Wait, the leader cultist's head is a separate piece? Or did you both just cut it off?

cut it off, buut the torso is in 2 peices where the head can just be pushed off for later use

@Melcavuk - is he stood on a contemptor dreads foot?!

Spare foot but yes, I like to think that deep, deep beneat the sand there's a contemptor dred buried with its feet in the air

And the head comes attached, I think we both enjoyed converting too much to let that be an obstacle.

That may have just gotten me interested in the set then. Like the look of it, but hate that mask he comes with by default.
