Yep.. Another versus.

But I prefer to think they they should have a "Bro down" just so GW can kill on or both off.
Would it / could it happen? Any one else think they should be killed off?

Abaddon wins every time... With contemptuous ease.

But should they be killed off? No... Abaddon should be the face of the Eye of Terror as Calgar is for Ultramar.
The UM will always need a Chapter Master as Gw will always want an Abaddon to be the 'Face of Chaos' given the threats from the Eye of Terror.

Calgar has "Ward" powers - no one can top that...sheer might of human stupidness vs chaos powers - well... you know who wins.....

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? I think Abaddon is going to have to watch his back and fight more challenges than Calgar- he leads a band of traitors, lunatics and daemons, of course. Add to that, many more years of experience, a daemon sword of insane power and some primarch battlegear, and I'm putting my money on Abaddon in a straight up fight.

Now, in a war, Calgar is the man. He's the better tactician the way it's told, and I reckon he'd win a war with Abaddon's forces.

But i see a lot of people don't like abbadon as he hasn't really done anything...
Calgar could be replaced by Cato.
Just think if they were to fight it'd be a "epic" way for one of them to move over for a new "poster boy" for each side.

Oh and having a deamon weapon... Doesn't that mean you could kill yourself? ;-)

This VS was already discussed like 3 weeks ago.

Infact I think it started the recent trend in VS threads.

I'd copy pasta my original responce in that thread but I'm lazy and have to go to work.

As much as I hate Abaddon, well, he'd win hands down... unless Calgar snuck up on Abaddon from behind, yanked back on that ridiculous top knot, and began pounding in Abbadon's face...

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

Well Calgar is a master tactician.

Maybe if Creed advised Calgar?

I would love this to happen.

Abaddon would probably destroy Calgar which leaves a power struggle in the UM as the First Company guy and Sicarus try to become the next chapter master.

Now THAT would be an interesting story. (Plus the duel between Abaddon and Calgar would be epic)

Yeah I kinda guessed this had been discussed before. I just think it'd be a good way to "get rid" of one of them. They have people waiting to take over the respective factions.
Sicarius and the 1st company dude could have an honour fight or something to sort out that.
Little Horus (which I would love to see a model of) could take over from Mr "evil" cliche man.

Creed smokes too many cigars - he always has one in his hand ;-)
By the time this happens he'll be in a Cancer ward somewhere.
Unless you meant Apollo Creed, in which case, yeah he'd win!

So we've already mentioned Mat Ward, Chuck Norris, and Creed on the first page of an 'x vs y' topic which was just discussed less than two days ago. Can we please close this thread before it becomes more of a Dakkabomination?

Eliphas versus Abbadon would be a more entertaining match. The chronic backstabbing starscream versus the megatron of Chaos.

Think of something clever to say.

Megatron will always crush Starscream, just as Abbadon will always demolish Calgar, or any living chapter master for that matter.

Calgar I agree with, that makes sense, but ANY living chapter master? Im sure there are better than him at dueling

The oldest, and therefore most experienced is Dante, and I doubt he'd make Abbadon have to work very hard for it. IMO Chapter masters are several rungs below someone who's rumored to be a Horus clone and has the favour of all 4 major Chaos Gods.

It's really apples and oranges IMHO, Abbadon just isn't in the same class as these mortals. He's pushing into Primarch territory (not quite primarch, but above any living space marine except silly GK linetrooperkillsdemonlordsallday). Can't even think of any Chaos Lords who'd really stand much of a chance.

Note: I play Black Legion so I might seem a fanboy, but truth be told I actually think Calgar is totally kickass too, it's just how I see the Abbadon character is all.

Even if one has more skill (which is unlikely since Abbadon has been alive for over 10,000 years, fighting in the Eye of Terror and Realspace), Abbadon is still significantly faster, stronger, and tougher than them due to the blessings of every chaos god.

"Rumored" to be a clone of Horus the same way that Dante is "rumored" to be the Sanguinor, i.e. some random guy made it up and it stuck?

Eldrad killed Abaddon back when they did the Eye of Terror campaign. He got better though.

where did you hear that??

The closest was Little Horus and I don't know if he's still kicking post heresy

And some CSM did try to make Horus clones but Abaddon wiped them out

That was a fluff blurb from a White Dwarf battle report, eldrad took the last wound, Abaddon was written as being teleporting out.
But I'd hesitate to call it anything other than a battle report during the Eye of terror campaign.
