hi folks,
it's been a while since I posted anything. Real life was very time consuming so I didn't find time to post any pictures. However, this doesn't mean that I haven't been busy. Since the start of my Marines Malevolent Project a couple of years ago I have finished a complete battle company plus support elements. One rhino and one Assault Squad remains to be finished until I will be able to create a full army shot.

I will use this thread to gradually showcase each squad of the whole company and maybe add some fluff/photoshopped pictures.

Marines Malevolent Strikeforce Demos

Command Elements

Captain Tauron Demos

Reclusiarch Uriel Grimnarch
Will add static grass to the base later.

Command Squad
The Marines Malevolent Intervention Force is commanded by Captain Demos of the 5th company. Captain Demos is escorted by a command squad of five company veterans. These include first Sergeant Maximus, who is Demos’ closest advisor and often acts as his second-in-command. Honourable brother Anvilus is the Bearer of the Company Standard. Metallius Krux is the personal Bodyguard to Captain Demos [Comment: Krux holds a position similar to a Company Champion in other Astartes chapters]. Furthermore Junior Apothecary Ethan Matteo and Company Veteran Rankar Lactus accompany the squad.

The Squad originally had blue glowing power weapons which I changed to blended real metallics. I will add a Crux Terminatus or similar bit to the banner top once I find an appropriate bit.

Command Razorback
The heavily modified MKIIIb Razorback is used as Demos’ personal transport vehicle. The Vehicle is equipped with twin-linked Ironstorm Assault Cannons with an Anti-Aircraft sensoric device. Furthermore it has a Dozer Blade, which appears to be modified from a Vindicator Siege Tank and Cestus-Pattern Reinforced Armour.

I will add heat effects to the assault cannon later.

Tactical Squad 1 is next. What do you guys think?
Thanks,
Tagsta

Really nice. The Reclusiarch and the Razorback are particularly excellent.

That's some great work, I especially like the conversions in the command squad. Overall a very strong, clear style.

But um.. do you actually have 9 thunderhawks and 6 stormbirdies? I understand if you don't have a strike cruiser or gladius up to scale, but if you have all the others, pics are eagerly awaited.

Tactical Elements

Tactical Squad I - The Ironhearts. Led by Veteran Sergeant Corron Avitus

The members of Tactical Squad I are equipped with a mix of well-maintained MK7 'Aquila' and MK8 'Errant' Armour. For the underequipped chapter it is a very uncommon sight to have such modern equipment in their armoury. It it unknown how the 5th company got a hold of such a large number of modern suits. Due to the increased protection the armour offers, Captain Demos' often deploys the squad at spearhead of assaults and on siege-, boarding- and tunnel fighting missions.

Demi Squad Ia
Note Techmarine Aspirant Adamantus Valar who forged the Combi-Flamer for the Sergeant and created a lot of field modifications for the Squad's equipment and their Rhino Transporter.

Demi Squad Ib

Rhino I
The Rhino 'Refutor' is equipped with field-modified Lucius pattern reinforced armour.

Thanks a lot! It is a bit of an unusal approach, I know but I think it worked quite well in the end

Thanks! well as you can imagine I do not own a single strike cruiser, gladius escort and sadly also not 9 thunderhawks the fleet elements are just for completion of the force chart. The rest of the charts relatively closely reflects what I painted up though. I own a stormeagle and a Stormraven and two Stormtalons that are WIP at the moment but will be showcased with the full battle company, so be patient brother

So sick love the mixed armor in that one tac squad, gives it a lot of character

We are winged salvation, but we are a terrible, final salvation, and our wings embrace the horizon with fire. We are the Blood Angels. To confront us is to die, and death is my remit, my reality, my unbounded domain. I have known death, and defeated it, claimed it as my own. To my cost, to my strength, death is my one gift to bestow, and I am nothing if not generous.

hahahaa that is hilarious. thanks!

the recipe is as follows:

1. White undercoat (i try to seperate as many black parts as possible and undercoat seperately by assembling the models first and then breaking individual parts off)
2. Touch up white undercoat (very important step in determining a clean and crisp yellow later)
3. 1 Layer of GW Yellow Ink 70:30 Water
4. 1 Layer of Bright Vallejo Yellow which is the equivalent to GW Badmoon Yellow but much higher pigmented/better
5. Shading with GW Yellow Ink 50:50 GW Chestnut Ink

BrotherGnaeus wrote:So sick love the mixed armor in that one tac squad, gives it a lot of character

Thanks mate! I am sure You will like the next few tac squads aswell since I carried on the mixed armour theme throughout the army

Thanks a lot guys, feedback is overwhelming and well appreciated! Gonna take a few more pics of the next Squads later!

Whoa, this is great work! I love how the yellows turned out so well, and the conversions throughout all of the marines.

Fantastic!

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.
