Carrowek, in particular, looks really awesome, as do Canan. Those two are probably my favorites of this early release. 10 releases a month is really nice. Oohh, and I can't barely wait for Stephané Simon to show his snake-warriors! The WIP (as seen above) is giving me a real treat. :p

ooh, no one noticed the latest update?

Mneriiss and Cearl

Update #43 · Jun 16, 2013 · 5 comments
We have two completed master miniatures to show off to you all!

Cearl

Firstly, Benoît Cosse's superb Werwulf Thegn, Cearl, is finished! He'll be available to ship with the Angelcynn sets of course.

Benoît will be sculpting Chaagmuth on foot next!

Mneriiss

The first of the remaining Gorgonar warriors to sculpt has been completed by Stéphane Simon - Mneriiss, Harbinger of Khthon! He'll be the unit's herald (musician), which is why he's got such a big rattle... note the crossed bones; there'll be two of those in the cast.

Next for Stéphane Simon is - well, the next Gorgonar warrior! Updates as and when.

Finally...

If any of you guys wish to order the Srónax, Brute, Norse, Angelcynn or Khthones starter sets, you can still do so - everyone still has access to the Kickstarter category - BUT... the Srónax, Brute and Norse sets will likely be removed at the end of June... so get your skates on people!

Enjoy!

Nice looking minis!

I REALLY want a Mabyon.

I'm afraid I won't be able to do it justice painting it though. I'm very impatient when it comes to details and multiple coats of paint.

If I want in on those starter packs, especially at Kickstarter prices, I'm assuming I need to drop Mierce an email, but where? On the kickstarter page or their actual store?

I'll see if I can talk family into pitching in for a Khthones set.

I'd suggest via KS if you were in on it or the webstore if you weren't

They've always been pretty quick to respond

TBH I cannot see MM selling them to you at KS prices unless you have actually participated in the KS when it was actually running.

After checking both the KS and their site, I don't think my family will want to put that much money out up front, the cheapskates that they are.

I think I'll just go ahead and order Mabyon since that's who I want anyway.

Why not? they did for me.
How?

I emailed them and asked nicely.
Result?
I have ordered 9 minis I particularly liked with no relation to factions, starter sets, and with no rules, dice etc I don't need/want.

lol nice! They seem willing to do dang near anything to get on people's good side to overcome the Maelstrom stigma.

The starters ended up being a pretty good deal though even if you werent interested in the game itself. I snagged 6 of them (already had most of the minotaurs and didnt overly care for the rhino men). I figure if the rules are good, its just gravy. My stuff is still in the "processing" stage, so when I get it I'll post picutres. The figures I did get earlier are really amazing quality.

I really, really, REALLY wish I had been able to get in on this KS...

Oh well.

Awesome figures. Werewolf is my favorite.

As has been said above, if you ask, they will probably let you in. The majority of their line is still available in the pledge manager.

Just recieved my Tarvax starter last week, the minis are incredible. I'm trying to resist adding to my order with some of the Angelcynn stuff. They don't take PayPal, which is a pain.

Yeah, my friend got in late for Beowa, I believe (he's doing a bear-themed army). So far, I've been pleasantly surprised by how they've followed through. Hopefully, it continues!

Anything that has been released through their web shop is no longer available at kickstarter prices unfortunately. However, if you're quick you may be able to get in on some of the still being processed levels

Got my Dyndraig starter this week. Amazing - the best miniatures I have ever bought at a really consistent quality. So happy I went with this kickstarter!

Another update on the Kickstarter page:

It's WIP time, and the next Gorgonar, Ufhiloss! Stéphane Simon's already well into this guy and I suspect he'll be sorted by late July...

Last Chance for Fomoraic and Ysians

As we've done with the Tarvax, Brythoniaid and Ax-Drune sets, we'll be shutting off access to the Srónax and the Brutes next week - and that means the remaining Fomoraic and Ysian miniatures, too!

That of course means that if you haven't got everything you wanted for the Fomoraic and Ysians (as well as their Vras allies) this weekend is your last chance to get them at Kickstarter prices, as we'll be shutting off access on Monday - so you'd better get your skates on people!

It also means the Srónax and the Brutes will start shipping properly next week, and then it's Trolls time... finally!

QuickStarter Rules

There's not much to say here, apart from - thanks for being patient, and they'll be ready soon, mid-July I would think. We're tweaking, the rules are about there, even though I'm still having a devil of a job leaving things out!

"Ready" means "ready for download", however... the printed version will follow later, as always!

On a personal front, 4 of my ad-hoc minis have been shipped!

WOOT!
My first 4 minis arrived, and they are universally brilliant...
OK, Torku has long hair...because it's female...umm...what next, long eyelashes?
And the boobs hit the bin as soon as I unpacked her parts...

BUT the minis are extremely well cast, in a very nice resin, excellent dry fit, awesome texture and detailing.
I won't bother taking photos, the ones on the kickstarter pages are 1,000 times better than I could ever achieve.
I received:

Torku (no nice photos f her)

Very happy, can't wait for the Hydra and dragon figure to be shown as WIP...

Mierce are going to almost single handedly flesh out my "as few GW models as possible" Daemons army. I've already got several ear marked as Daemon Princes or Heralds, I just wish I could figure out a way to put wings on that dragon ogre guy, he would make an epic Khorne DP.

I have received more of my starter sets, the quality is so good I have just ordered the Angelcynn starter set and Leofwen (woman riding the stag) + have my eye on more. I must have spent nearly £1500 on this KS, all from ebay sale of GW stuff and I have not had a poorly cast miniature yet. I personally cannot wait for MM's next KS!

Another update:

All right, a few WIP shots of upcoming miniatures have landed this week, so here's a big update for you all.

Penda the Bloody-Handed on Horse

It's what we've been waiting for since Penda on foot! Jacques-Alexandre Gillois' superb Penda on horse at an early stage, but no less evocative for all that...

Chaagmuth the Jaw-Taker on Foot

A very early stage of sculpting everyone's favourite Gabrax warlord from Benoît Cosse! Loving the underbite...

Ygandr, Hydra of Khthon

Roberto's next piece for us is Ygandr and he's shaping up to be awesome. This, again, is a very early WIP shot, of just one of his five heads...

As you can see, just one head would give Galhwch Lladd Llaw a run for his money!

That's all for now folks... we hope that's whetted your appetite!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Oh, and for those wondering what Ygandr is, here's the concept art:

WOW!! Glad to hear it.
I was 1000% stupid in doing the "all at once postage" and regretting it ever since.
Might need to add this amazing Hydra though... WOW!! Just WOW!!

I must admit, most of my money went on the 'big guys'. The concept art on the hydra, dragon, Ice golem etc....was just to good to pass by.

No WIP yet, but here's the art and blurb

Increase your pledge by £40 to get Vaak, a mighty Fomoraic construct of ice and rock to batter their enemies with. As if Uuthüll wasn't enough!

I like the art, but at £40 I couldn't quite bring myself to get it (if I'd had the money I'd have gone for the Blood-Maw instead, soooo cool), gonna be big though

I'm still looking for the heir to the Fantasy Skirmish Throne, you know, ever since Confrontation died a painful, pre-painted plastic death.

These miniatures are spectacular - I'm hoping there's some good rules to go along with them!
