And KS FE:II:

Wolves and Hydras

Another Friday, another update - and this week we've some crackers!

sculpt work in progress images from Stéphane Camosseto and Roberto Chaudon;
a list of what miniatures are currently being sent in Wave 4 and Wave 5;
an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
the fourth snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
downloadable versions of the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.

Let's begin!

We've got a few things to show you this week... an update from Stéphane Camosseto and a completion from Roberto Chaudon!

Eoric's Pack

We rejoice, because Eoric's Pack is almost complete... Stéphane Camosseto is doing a wonderful job!

Now, we are getting Stéphane to ensure their heads are a little more wolf-like - more like Hrōr's head - simply because we think the concept art is a little too human; so watch this space, these guys will look even better soon!

Eoric

Eoric is the unit's champion and he is very nasty...

He should be finished soon!

Sigebald

The unit's banner bearer or Fane Bearer, Sigebald is a cracking sculpt!

There's just that head to sort...

Heoruvard

The Werwulf Howler is Heoruvard...

Again, just the head...

Rædwulf

The first warrior is Rædwulf...

Head time!

Wealdhere

The last warrior is Wealdhere...

These guys, we hope, will be done in time for Wave 7; but we'll see.

Khallas

Roberto Chaudon is an amazing sculptor who seems to improve with every sculpt he, er, sculpts... Khallas is proof of that!

All hail Roberto!

Khallas will definitely be a Wave 7 shipment!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And a Monstrous Mounts update for you - Behenna is being dispatched!

Cracking Backs

Here's a lovely little update for you for this project, with - shock, horror - some progress!

This week we have:

sculpt work in progress images from Yannick Fusier;
a list of what miniatures are sent in what waves, and that Wave 6 shipments have begun;
a list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
the fifth snippet of rules for Darklands: First Edition;
downloadable versions of the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Let's begin!

We have a miniature to show you, people... it's by Yannick Fusier and it's going to be amazing!

Back-Cracker

Huzzah! Yannick Fusier has begun work on Back-Cracker, our lovely mole-rat beastie, and he's taking shape nicely!

He's a big lad, too...

With Yannick's usual characterful style we think this guy is going to be brilliant! Hopefully he'll be a Wave 7 shipment - but we'll see...

Wave 4, 5 and 6 shipments have begun!

Waves 4 and 5 are already in progress - we estimate we're around 75% through them for items from this project - and Wave 6 shipments have begun, which means Erebius on his Behema will be winging his way to you soon.

We will try to get everything out as soon as we can, but there's a lot to ship - and as always we prioritise orders in date sequence; i.e., if you ordered early, you'll get your stuff sent early.

What we're saying, basically, is - please be patient! We are doing everything as fast as we can.

I'm not super keen on the wolfmen, but the Gesith, Hydra, and Back-Cracker are all looking pretty amazing.

Last one, for New Kindreds:

Red Hand and Black Ax

Here we are, on another lovely Friday, with another lovely update for you all!

This week we have:

sculpt work in progress updates from Juan Navarro Pérez and Valentin Zak;
an updated list of sculptors and sculpts for this project;
the latest snippet of the Darklands: First Edition rules;
news of where you can download the current QuickStarter Rules, Muster Rules and Kindred Musters from the Mierce Miniatures website;
...and anything else you can expect from us over the next few months.
Here we go...
This week the Érainn (Valentin Zak) and Ysians (Juan Navarro Pérez) progress, but we should have some Jutes action for you next week!

Cormac of the Red Hand

The awesome Valentin Zak has almost completed Cormac of the Red Hand and we absolutely love him.

With just the cloak to do, Cormac should make it into Wave 7!

Axes of Carn Maen

Juan Navarro Pérez has completed work on the alternates for the Axes of Carn Maen! Next up for him are the alternate Duguth, Bowman Urien and Warrior Ffion...

The warrior alternate of the herald, Dinorg is looking great! The most complicated of the alternates for the Ax-Drunes, Juan's had to remove the bottom ax as well as sort the weapon...

This does of course mean that the alternates for the Ax-Drunes will be a Wave 7 shipment.

Eoric's pack continue to be, for me, the one area where the Mierce line disappoints - Wolfmen for the Angelcynn kindred!

The rest though?

Brilliant!

Well, they are going to re-work the heads and faces. I think that'll definitely improve them as they currently look a little flat and not very wolf-esque (though, they are pretty much spot of for the concept art for sure).

I'd missed they were going to re-do their faces. Good to hear. I hope the tails also get a second look, as they are too long and flexible as is.

The Erainn kindred is certainly tempting my pocketbook more and more. Cormac looks suitably badass and the swamp beast is just killer.

Speaking of the swamp beast, is there a picture (or even just estimate) of its size / scale anywhere? Alpharius added it for me, but I'm still not sure what I'm going to use it for

Spoilered below:

Spoiler:
Mórannach

Once again we are struggling to find words to describe Allan Carrasco
and his latest masterwork, Mórannach. So we suggest you find them...

Mórannach is about complete, so he should definitely make it into Wave 7!

I've not seen him with either a ruler or against anything else yet,

but he's on an 80mm base in the most recent muster so I'd say big

actually on Allan Carrasco's blog he's down as 70mm tall

Thanks for that, Orlando! I'm hoping he can cram onto a 50mm base . Just the feet - obviously the arms will overhang quite a bit! From the pic, it looks doable

I feel like we never see any of the updates from the first banebeasts kickstarter, in this thread. They're almost halfway done with sculpting on that project it seems. Here's today's update, and I put a few extra pictures I thought I hadn't seen in this thread in a spoilers section, so as not to get too pic heavy.

The Rat Fiend - based on the Darklands Scar-Scath miniature - is looking lovely indeed, thanks to Yannick Hennebo!

The Rat Fiend should certainly be a Wave 7 shipment.

Yannick's also completed the upgrade for the Rat Fiend, the Rat Fiend with Mole-Rat Head...!

He'll definitely make it into Wave 7, too!

As well as the heads on Eoric's pack which I know are going to be re-sculpted, I find it odd on some of them that their tails go through chain mail, I cant say for sure as I don't have a tail but it must be really restrictive and uncomfortable.

I've been having a bit of a look round in the Darklands II kickstarter and new kindreds and wave 7 is going to be huge, these are all the sculpts estimated for wave 7 excluding monstrous mounts.

SHIPMENT WAVE 7 (beginning June): Umaer Drast - Spears of Dun Durn, Gairlom Unit (Brusta - Nectan - Fidaich - Oinuist - Smertae ) - Armoured Hrōr - Eoric's Pack (Eoric - Sigebald - Heoruvard - Rædwulf - Wealdhere) - Rēoc's Pack (Rēoc - Brega - Hædo) - Geraint on Ceffyldraig - Warriors of Dyngonwy, Rhyfelwr Unit - Quintus Crito - In III Judas - Srók - Slaughterers (Megálávra - Vókkinak - Okkáv - Brudok - Maskó) - Khallas - Ax-Crom - Flesh-Scavengers (Gondard - Ekk - Yrag - Bil - Flesh-Pile) - Shadows of Carn Bran - Abhorrents of Ys (Gorz - Kell - Rulguss - Ingenga - Zunur) - Max Schüte's second Descendant

Bareheaded Quintus Crito - Cormac of the Red Hand - Araigh - Men of Clochar (Pádraig - Dara - Ronan - Brian - Colm - Tadhg - Ruairí) - Mórannach - Gol Gul - Axes of Carn Maen (Drano - Dinorg) - New Kindred Infantry Starter Hosts - New Kindred Monstrous Infantry Starter Hosts - Other Kindred Infantry Starter Hosts - Other Kindred Monstrous Infantry Starter Hosts (except those listed elsewhere) - Sáthach on Horse - Danilo Cruz on Horse - Stígr - Taai-ac - New Kindred Specials - New Kindred Sorcerers - Thacaldān

Does anyone know which muster has the rules for Sathach?

Also

Wave 6 items removed tonight

With the shipping of Wave 6 items from our fantastic Kickstarter projects Darklands: First Edition, Darklands: First Edition II and Darklands: Monstrous Mounts now in progress, it is time to let you know that all that ALL Wave 6 items will be removed from their parent Kickstarter categories on the Mierce Miniatures website TONIGHT, the 4th of May at midnight (GMT) - so you'd better get your skates on to order those Wave 6 items, because they'll be gone shortly - and you'll never get them cheaper!
What's Being Removed?

There's quite a few miniatures being removed from the webstore, including the rather spectacular Parawn, the amazing Brunchaath on Gooracx and the stunning Erebius on Behema!
You will only see these items in the webstore if you have backed their parent project, of course, but if you do wish to join in to grab them, simply reply to this e-mail requesting access and we'll sort it for you.
The following items will be removed from the Mierce Miniatures website on Monday:
ALBAINN: Oghu Keepers, Oghurithne Unit - Young Magágg

After tonight, you'll have to wait until Wave 6 items are released!

If you don't purchase any Wave 6 items you'd like by tonight, you won't be able to purchase them again until they are released to the general public, and - depending on the miniature involved - that could be for a long while yet! Plus, they'll be at full price of course.
What are you waiting for? Grab those Wave 6 items now!

On the recent London con thread there were some photos from the Mierce table, and there was a big Cthulu octopussy monster that looked awesome, which I couldn't see on the website or the last few pages (chances are I've just overlooked it...) does anyone know what it is/when it's out and stuff?

Does anyone know if Naraa's head is a separate piece? I'm getting the helmed version as a bonus for my Eye Ascendent unit, and was hoping to be ale to eventually buy the unhelmed head to replace it. Unfortunately their components section doesnt list anything for her.

Available to (I think its KS backers only?) Miscast bags

http://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=cat&cre=cmp-msc

250g bag = £10
500g bag = £18

If it somehow occurs that you've purchased a bag and we've run out of bags for that kindred (possible because of how the site works), we'll try to make one up from our current miscast box (we have a box, unsorted), although this does depend on what miscasts we have.

I'm NOT going to limit these to "x per backer", as it's quite unworkable without a huge amount of coding (you can just go through the basket again, even if I limit you to one per purchase).

All I would ask is that you limit yourself to 2 per kindred on your first purchase, and if there's still some at the end of the day, feel free purchase more. I do hope these will shift quickly!

Note that there are some terms and conditions...

1 - You MUST purchase postage for these bags
(if your order is below the free shipping threshold, it will charge you postage; if not, please purchase an "Existing Items" shipment item)

2 - You MUST use cold, hard cash for these bags - Moneyback cannot be used on them
(this should have the added effect of restricting your purchases, unless you're mad!)

3 - These are UNREFUNDABLE and UNRETURNABLE

4 - You cannot expect replacements for miscast bits
(they are sprayed in various colours, and we ask for photos of the miscasts)

5 - We will take a very, very dim view of anyone that tries to pretend they are our usual casts somewhere online!

We will send these almost immediately, certainly this week.

That's it for now. This is new to us, so there may be teething problems in how the miscast bags work.

so any bodgers and converters that want to take a gamble get shopping, but please don't be too greedy

Have they done the bags before?

Curious just how many pieces you'd have inside one.

I'll admit, I'm tempted to get one. Especially for ranges that have lots of stuff available. As long as there's a few torsos and body parts for some of the monstrous infantry, I'd love to try slapping something together.

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

no they've never done bags before

randomly grabbing monstrous infantry bags from my stash without looking at what they were you get about 8 complete minis (and casting gates) in a 250g bag (or 16 in 500g) so I should think youll end up with some at least

This probably means it will NOT be shipping out 'Summer 2015".

Orlando - that's pretty much where we're at too; the only reason we popped a couple in at the end of BB:MMPD was because a) we had Skaadi already and b) we wanted to get over £10k to get the Demons done!

So you're looking at late 2015, maybe even early 2016, for the next "big" Darklands project...
