This KS may interest fellow small scale gamers out there. Fairly low entry pledge gets a lot of raptors...yes, dinosaurs wearing power armor and wielding plasma weapons. What's not to love? FYI these guys are 15mm...but see the new update below...

UPDATE: Now that the 5k goal has been reached there is a $25 pledge level (Big Game Hunter) for ONLY the six 28mm raptors. So for those of you who were passing on this KS simply because is was 15mm, you now have a chance to jump in. There's also a $50 (Really Big Game Hunter) level if you want two squads.

Just when i thought that nothing could truly surprise me on dakka, this comes along. Could be really cool, especially if the 28mm ones go into regular production.

@Guildsman: I know, right?

I instantly thought counts-as Vespid when I read about the 28mm squad (being a Tau player). Hope he fully develops both scales.

I stumbled across this today and was delighted. Asking my usual gaming group for ideas on what to use these guys for; the idea is too cool to pass up, but I'd like them to actually see play as well.

Looks like good models to use as 'counts as' stuff in the new CSM Codex.

The owner is updating pretty frequently and soliciting backers for input on units such as the spec ops raptors (I chuckle whenever I think of this project).

The base pledge level that includes stretch goal rewards is "Herd Elder" ($50) and currently includes:

A raptor company consisting of 67 figures...

1 Company Commander
1 Company Command Element (4 raptors)
1 Command Security Team (6 troopers)
2 Platoons of 28 figures each.

Each Platoon includes
1 Platoon Command Element (4 raptors)
4 x 6-man Squads

Goals that have been met and are now included in Herd Elder (or above) are:

6 Spec Ops raptors
6 Alternate sculpt assault raptors
4 Raptors wearing mechanized battlesuits
1 Grav APC

So 83 raptors and 1 vehicle so far...all 15mm.

Also check out the owner's blog for rough sketches of the grav bikes, battlesuits, etc.:

Be a bit small for that as they are 15mm.

$3500 goal reached...the raptors now have three grav bikes.

Next up is the 28mm raptor squad at $5000...six figures (3 Trooper w/assault rifle, 1 SAW, 1 Plasma Gunner, 1 Alpha Leader)

Well, as it stands you have to get the 15mm guys too, so a minimum of $50 to access all the stretch goals.

There has been some talk about possibly adding a 28mm-only pledge level once the KS hits 5K (when the 28mm raptors are unlocked)...but I wouldn't bank on it.

If you only want the 28mm guys you might be able to work out a deal with someone over at TMP where they'd trade their 28s (and some cash) for your 15s...since most of the guys over there are 15mm players.

Afraid so. Or put them on Bartertown/eBay to minimize the trauma.

KS has been updated with 28mm only pledge levels...see first post.

With the successful move to the $5000 level we have unlocked and with all the demand for them, I am happy to introduce the 28mm pledge levels.

These pledge levels are for the true 28mm die-hard who wants space Raptors but not all the fiddly little guys. To this end, I have added both a $25 and $50 levels allowing you the option of either one or two squads. Postage rates apply as before.

I must note, that to keep these pledge levels pure 28mm, those who bid at this level will not receive 15mm Stretch Goal items. Right now there are no plans for 28mm Stretch Goals so this would effectively means, no Stretch Goals for those pledging these levels. I'm sure this won't be a big thing for the die-hard 28mm fan.

Thanks for your continued support and spread the word about the new pledge levels.

-Eli

Due to the production costs of the stretch goals, Eli needs to shut down those pledge levels on Monday. He pulled the plug last week but there was quite the uproar on TMP so he opened them back up for this weekend. So if you want the 15mm STRETCH items you need to pledge before tomorrow at 6AM PST...non-stretch levels and the 28mm levels will remain open until the end of the KS.

Some may think this is kinda fishy but he's been open about the situation via the TMP thread and in his updates.

Hello all,

In response to some feedback I have received regarding the sudden and unannounced closure of the 15mm Stretch Rewards, I have decided to temporarily re-open them to allow folks to get in before the door closes.

The $50 and $100 15mm pledge level will be re-opened with all its Stretch Reward benefits, until 6AM PST, Monday 10/29/2012.

After this, I will close down that pledge level again. This should allow those who were caught off guard, by the initial closure, to get back in.

Thank you for your understanding,

-Eli

Also, new concept art and WIPs are in the works:

Right now, I have the sculptor working on the greens for everything but the powersuits, bikes, commandos and of course the APC which is getting ready to go to the printer in the coming week or so. Those things not being sculpted right now, are waiting for final concept art which is being produced as we speak. This art will be clean, nicely finished stuff that will give the sculptor a clear idea of what we want to achieve.

I promise to reveal WIP images as soon as they are made available to me both here and on the Loud Ninja Games blog.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Speaking of new concept art:

Alright folks,

We are in the final countdown. As previously notified I'll be closing off Stretch Rewards for good at 6:00 AM tomorrow 10/29/2012. After that, I'll be adding new $50 and $100 reward levels without Stretch Rewards for those who still want to secure a goodly number of scythe-clawed pals at the Kickstarter discount rate.

If you know anyone who's been holding out, poke and prod them to make their move before the Stretch Rewards go away for good.

And for those who have been wanting something of a WIP update, here is the latest and greatest concept art for the Chuhuac Attack Bike...

Thanks,

-Eli

Well this is certainly different.

Edit: It has my interest, but I need to see a finished sculpt or two before I get anywhere near this one. Are Loud Ninja Games a "known quantity" before this? I've never heard of them.

LNG is a new company, but Eli is fairly well known over on TMP and in the 15mm world (he's on the Dropship Horizon team).

His sculptor is a Dakkite and his work is exceptional. That's all I'm saying about that....but if you read all of the LNG blog...

~48 hours left...

I received a notification from my printer along with some nice preview pictures of the print for the Sirrus APC. The flattish part with the geometric bits is the underside of the vehicle with the grav- emitters.

Anyway, 16 hours left...this one will end mid-day tomorrow (in the US) so last chance.
