Do not underestimate the Squats. They survived for millenia cut off from the Imperium and assailed on all sides. Their determination and resilience is an example to us all.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Somewhere in south-central England.

Gunpowder stretches from 1500 to mid 19th century.

The Historicals Forum would be a good place to ask.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.

You can also ask over at http://theminiaturespage.com/ or http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php They are more historical oriented as opposed to Dakka, which leans quite heavily towards sci-fi and fantasy.

And just for you I'll break my rule about not acting as google for someone and suggest: Perry, Victrix, Warlord, Gripping Beast, Fireforge, and Conquest Games. The first three are your best bet for gunpowder eras.

Eye of Terra.

Perry miniatures are outstanding.

There are many miniatures companies out there, but the Perry's are great sculptors.

I'm an Ancients, 18th/19th century man myself, but I tend to play at 15mm for those eras.

TMP is a great site and full of very knowledgeable folks, but the guys there can be real turds on occasion as they tend to be hyper-passionate which comes across as condescension...

Nah, it's pure condescension... arrogance... peruser beware.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

No. Actually, I've picked up bits of Ebay of theirs but I won't get to see them for a couple months, so I can't really comment first hand. They go with open hands for alot of their pre gunpowder stuff which rather turns me off, I find the finished models look rather Playmobileish.
