Ah man, what a question, so many choices!

I think for me what I would love to see in Plastic would be...

Veterans with many configurations,

Stormtroopers with many configurations

Personally I convert most of my stuff anyway but it would be solid to have some more troopes to work with... would really love some damn camo cloaks too, the elven cloaks from fantasy are cool and all but would be nice to have something 40k... dreams eh ;-)

They could probably do a kit with both steel legion and death korp in it with a simple head swap. Both wear long coats and gasmasks, so it can't be that hard.

Elysians, mostly because they're the only force that's got its own variant list but still requires Forge World models to play properly. It'd require getting Talos, Sky Talon, Vendetta, Vulture, and maybe even Lightning/Thunderbolt plastics too, though, so it's not likely to happen.

I actually disagree with doing any of the FW IG in plastic. I have DKoK and you couldn't do those models in plastic without giving up detail, and I'd never want to sacrifice quality for a slight price reduction.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

DKoK are so beautifully detailed that I think plastic would diminsh them. No, I think Steel Legion would be a better choice to produce in plastic.

Tanith first and only, maybe valhallans that way there'd be a hot weather ( catachan) nomal ( cadian) and cold weather army

Steel Legion would be too close to the DKoK. No way they make a plastic kit that infringes on a more-expensive resin kit, lol.

I'd like to see them re-do the Cadians and Catachans to not be so ugly and oversized.

But, after that, I think Valhallans could be cool.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

I'd pay more for a plastic kit that has standard cadian infantry, but with enough bits to make

Standard Cadian Guardsmen (Standard bits)
Cadian Guardsmen with Carapace Armor (Carapace bits)
Stormtroopers/Kasrkin (Gas mask, hot shot lasgun, and carapce bits)

That's a pretty good point, actually - though to me, I always liked metal minis not for the miniscule increase in detail but because of their weight. It's just a completely different feeling.

That said, with an army that has a big focus on infantry, plastics might be better because the price reduction is incremential, and because they're a bit easier to transport I guess. Also, conversions!

None of them. Give us a Catachan and a Cadian Veteran Kit, plastic Ogryn, Hydras, Vendettas and conscripts before you add more regiments.

Please don't. After painting 60+ guardsmen I don't think I could bare to paint another 60+ to replace them with better looking models.

I guess GW could lessen the cost of Cadians to $21 and make everything else upgrade packs to encourage people to buy Cadians for everything.

Want to see Vostroyans, personally.

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

I agree... as I've said before...

I think I brought this up before but GW does it all wrong. They want to sqeeze as much money out of you as possible and they do it the wrong way.

A box of 10 Space Marines should came with 10 Space marines with bolters. No extra bits. The price of the box should drop to $25.

Then there should be a box of Assault arms, Jumppacks and running legs for about $20. Then a box of Heavy weapons. 2 of each weapon, the arms to hold them and the backpacks.

Now you might say that it would still cost you $40 for 4 autocannons... but you also would have 4 heavy bolters, 4 missile lauinchers ect.

This can be done with alomst every army except Tau and Daemons. Even more so if a few armies were redesigned.

My friends counter argument was that GW would turn a profit from the idea.

To which I said how so? He said that going with my idea wouldn't earn as much cash. Space Marines($25) + Assault Upgrades($20) = $45. Not the same as GWs $50+ for 10 assault marines.

I then explained "Yeah but in my..."dreamscape" there wouldn't be any assault weapons or power weapons in either kit. You'd have to buy both seperately. See?"

After a while I got him to see it my way. Not agreeing with everything but seeing what I was going for. He was curious how I'd make GW even more profits.

"Easy," I exclaimed "People always buy stupid crap. Especially GW fans. I'd sell a bad ass commander model. Then the same model with "one wound" then another with "two wounds" ect..."

In the long run none of this really applies to me anymore. I dont buy GW. I stopped after the last price hike. I own my army. My friends have theirs. We switched to collecting Warmahordes for the time being.
