I agree... as I've said before...
I think I brought this up before but GW does it all wrong. They want to sqeeze as much money out of you as possible and they do it the wrong way.
A box of 10 Space Marines should came with 10 Space marines with bolters. No extra bits. The price of the box should drop to $25.
Then there should be a box of Assault arms, Jumppacks and running legs for about $20. Then a box of Heavy weapons. 2 of each weapon, the arms to hold them and the backpacks.
Now you might say that it would still cost you $40 for 4 autocannons... but you also would have 4 heavy bolters, 4 missile lauinchers ect.
This can be done with alomst every army except Tau and Daemons. Even more so if a few armies were redesigned.
My friends counter argument was that GW would turn a profit from the idea.
To which I said how so? He said that going with my idea wouldn't earn as much cash. Space Marines($25) + Assault Upgrades($20) = $45. Not the same as GWs $50+ for 10 assault marines.
I then explained "Yeah but in my..."dreamscape" there wouldn't be any assault weapons or power weapons in either kit. You'd have to buy both seperately. See?"
After a while I got him to see it my way. Not agreeing with everything but seeing what I was going for. He was curious how I'd make GW even more profits.
"Easy," I exclaimed "People always buy stupid crap. Especially GW fans. I'd sell a bad ass commander model. Then the same model with "one wound" then another with "two wounds" ect..."
In the long run none of this really applies to me anymore. I dont buy GW. I stopped after the last price hike. I own my army. My friends have theirs. We switched to collecting Warmahordes for the time being.
Exalted, i have read this before and I totally agree with it.

Cadian and Catachan plastics looks good to me, a well-planned and executed conversions make them looks better.
3rd Plastic IGs i'd want GW to release
1. Valhallans (equal numbers of cap heads, ushanka heads, and M41 (?) helmet heads)
2. Mordians with pith helmet heads packed in
3. Steel legions
'Plastic Vostroyans' can actually be made of several WHFB bits and I've seen at least one man doing Vostroyans using various GW plastic bits, I don't think GW will make it plastics.

Valhallans, of course, although I think Mordians with Praetorian heads would be awesome also.
Come to think of it, they could probably do Great Coat models, with either Valhallan or Steel Legion or DKoK heads. And maybe a few accessories to change them.

Def this ^^ And I'd like to see the Catachans updated for that matter...I like them as big beefy bruisers, but the current plastics are really too much. And if not them, I would like to see an Armageddon redux in plastic. With more options...needs more options as far as building goes.... Automatically Appended Next Post: Actually my bad...the first thing I'd want to see are Storm Troopers back in plastics. BRING BACK THE BERETS

For regiments that need to be updated, Mordians would be my first choice. I'd love to see some new plastic Mordian Iron Guard kits.
Harakoni Warhawks would be a nice addition, but maybe they'd be kind of redundant given how much their fluff niche overlaps with Forgeworld's Elysians.

I want the older style of Cadians back, done in plastic. They look absolutely badass compared to the new plastic ones.
But that's just me.
I'd settle for a resculpt of the Catachans though, in line with their command box. The company command box catachans look excellent, and I wish all catachans looked that way.

Harakoni Warhawks would actually be a pretty good idea - they'd basically be "Elysians, but not copying the Forge World models so we're not stepping on their toes". It would give us Drop Troop players a more affordable source of Infantry without obviously detracting from the awesome of having Forge World stuff.
As long as some of them were girls.

Because most IG are Cadians. Perhaps just a Female IG upgrade kit. Most books state there are female troopers. Where are they?
