Big Tex was an Icon in that part of Texas. Tacky? Yeah like the lights in Vegas are tacky, but not an eyesore as he fit with the surroundings and was built in a time when that kind of thing would draw huge crowds.
I dont like the CN Tower in Toronto, I think its ugly, but if it burned up I wouldnt say it was for the best
