Subject: Another take on Sigmar/ 2 missing Primarchs

Twisted Trueborn with Blaster

So, I really don't know what people will think of this theory, but since reading around abit and on the big L, I came up with this theory for the two missing primarchs/sigmar all in one:
- 2 Primarchs are Sigmar and Morkar (first everchosen in whfb)
- Sigmar kills Morkar (the lost)
- He's lost because he fell to chaos then killed by Sigmar
- On the opposite side of the planet, a small search of imperial force lands.
- Satellite surveys mean they realise Sigmar killed another Primarch- something god-aweful and unheard of at this early point.
- Sigmar goes to the other side of the world, where he is promptly dispatched by Russ (becoming the purged)
- Due to the outbreak of Heresy/Nikea/Prospero/More important matters than cleansing a single feral world in the EoT the Wolves leave before killing the Warhammer world.
C&C welcome, please tell me what you think!

Sigmar had a biological mother and father. Not a primarch.
Plus 2 primarchs landing on the same planet. What are the odds.

Ok, guess so... but it would be cool. I would have liked that in canon fluff. Russ and the Lion both on one planet, then at the height of the battle mp teleports in and saves the day!

Here's my take on the matter. Both landed on nearby planets near the eye of terror already prepared for the primarchs by the chaos gods. Then one hoping to impress the chaos gods kills the other (the lost). Then later along comes one of the primarchs who is confused about the sigh of a primarch with demons and kill him (this would probably be Lion el Johnson as he was far away when the Heresey started). Then after that Horus is corrupted and starts his heresey.

Before GW had an established setting for 40k it was rumoured that Sigmar was a primarch. This has however been completely retconned and the 40k/WHFB universes are completely seperate.
The biggest flaw is in the 'not having time to cleanse the world', the WHFB world is full of sentient non-human races and has an active link to the Warp on both poles if this was found by the Great Crusade it would not be cleansed, it would be utterly destroyed before even having planet fall.

Just curious when this happened, because as late as the late 90's/early 2,000's (around when I stopped following WHFB), they were still adding bits and pieces suggesting continuity...

Always seemed like a silly decision to separate the two to me. Especially when the Chaos faction has identical Daemons existing in both games including named special characters.

I think it's very good and interesting. I especially like that Sigmar himself would be killed by Russ because of the unheard of crime of primarchal patricide. To me, this would be a great bridge between 40k and WHFB.

3rd Edition of 40k marked the real separation and new tone/direction of the franchise.

LOL, true.
Also btw, They proved in Warhammer fantasy that 40k is going on around it. A long time ago in IRL a fantasy tourney was held where the winner was provided a scroll which talked about how he triumphed over his enemies and entered a mysterious cavern within the cavern was found a bolter and power armor which was one of the original Mk's i can't recall which one specifically. The theory is that the world in which Fantasy takes place is wrapped in a warp storm and completely inaccessible by the IOM.

It used to be, but then they moved to separate universes linked by the warp, so I guess it could still be possible. But why the CG would drop Sigmar off in a different universe rather than the 40k one I don't know.

The last connection i can recall between the warhammer and the warhammer 40k universes was the warhammer Albion campaign. the victorious forces recieved relics that were official updates, and the high elves got The Armour of the gods, which was essentially a suit of power armour (3+ save and +1S)
Prior to that, the Lost and the damned (if i recall correctly) had random chaos gifts you could recieve, so it was possible for a chaos lord to run round in WFB with a 40k Lascannon.
More recent editions have pretty much done away with all connections, the only things that remain are really the similarities between the races, and their overall background. It did always make sense to me before the retcon, that sigmar would was a primarch.

Well the Chaos gods scattered the primarchs, so they could have tied two of them together in the Warp just for fun.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it. |

Plus there's the bit about WFB no longer being strictly the same universe as 40k (you used to be able to get units from one in the other back in 2e); if they're connected it's by the Warp since that's the common element, which means you could potentially see the Chaos Gods dumping them somewhere the Imperium is never going to find them traveling with points of reference in realspace as they do since they aren't going to forge deep within the Warp to come out in other universes it impacts.

They never proved anything, you are talking about the Albion campaign, at its conclusion different races gained different relics dependant on their standing at the end of it. Two relics available were a set of very powerful armour and a toothed deamon weapon that 'snarled' (both of with are not beyond the technology of the dwarfs to a degree) there are no direct references to the 40k universe, only what look like in-jokes.
The second point is that Albion was a long time ago, before the Universes were clearly seperated.
