Play nice children. Its pretty clear that they are going beyond the confines of the arkhamverse... then again considering that iirc thr dark night costume is available in-game it doesnt mean anything...

Are the figures available yet?
How do I get my hands on some basic sets?
At this point, I don't even care which two factions, because these guys will go great with a few other games I have. 
How much are we looking at per starter set?

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |

There are no starter sets really, nor are there really factions. There are a couple crew boxes (Joker and Penguin) but from what I've been able to gather you would need to buy some additional kits to actually be able to run them.
Start on page 1 and read it through til you run out of posts, that should get you up to speed.

I have a few left on my webstore http://www.battleroadhobbies.com/arkam-city-batman/ to be honest though I would act quick as I am taking my remaining inventory to Templecon and it's a safe bet it will sell there next weekend. After that I hope to have a full restock with new stuff by the end of Febuary which by how slow they are shipping is pretty damn quick.

I'm under no delusions that they're likely right at the top of the list, but I'm not going to buy any models until I've seen rules. I'm sure I'm not alone in this either.

As much as I failed to enjoy Rises, the Bane just clicks with me. Also, I'd field him just to annoy the hell out of my opponent by quoting him.
Kinda was hoping for the League of Assassins to become a full gang though.
And, the rules thing still bothers me a bit.

My vendor partner was quoting Bane all weekend at Templecon, it was great the first day but by day three I wanted to shoot him.
