Ha - good one!

And true!

Also, again, what the hell is LOBO doing in the BATMAN miniatures game?!?

i disagree...
i don't think the Infinity biker makes a better Lobo than the actual Lobo mini, though i do think it is a cooler mini, being on a badass bike and all...
i also happen to like the foot on the rock, especially for a static mini...

to each their own...

Here you go. I've ordered from both and have had good experiences from both.

I didn't know the Warstore carried the line - this is good news!

Thanks!

These models are fantastic! I just wish the sculptors would do some weapon research first. Speedy's arrow is on the wrong side of the bow. grrr.

Anyone who has purchased a Knight's model recently, how is the quality of their casting?

I have a large portion of the Batman line, though oddly only a single Batman. I think their casing is very good. Mold lines are minimal. Flash is rare. Connecting parts, like arms, sometimes are difficult to clean up and make fit properly.

My biggest issue is scale on a single model. Arms often look shorter than they should be. However, scale of weapons is oddly accurate, which sometimes looks odd since we collectors are so used to oversized weapons. Look at Gordon's pistol to see what I mean.

Todosi, are you sure? For the hand he is holding the bow - and I acknowledge I don't know the character, so that may be wrong - where the arrow is is correct. I used to do archery and with the bow in my left hand and drawing with my right, the arrow sat on the right side of the bow, above my knuckles. Speedy is holding in his right hand and drawing with his left, but the arrow is correctly on the left side of the bow, still above the knuckles. This method allows a speedier reload from a quiver positioned on the belt where you have to draw the arrow up. A quiver located on the back bypasses the need to go around the arm to nock the arrow and allows the archer more freedom of choice, but if you look at most modern archery competitions, this is how a bow would be drawn.

Obviously, the above is worthless if the character as drawn uses his bow differently.

"Ask ten different scientists about the environment, population control, genetics, and you'll get ten different answers, but there's one thing every scientist on the planet agrees on. Whether it happens in a hundred years or a thousand years or a million years, eventually our Sun will grow cold and go out. When that happens, it won't just take us. It'll take Marilyn Monroe, and Lao-Tzu, and Einstein, and Morobuto, and Buddy Holly, and Aristophanes…then all of this…all of this…was for nothing. Unless we go to the stars." I am completely sure. And you are misinformed or shooting a style of archery that is not based on western european styles. There are a couple styles that shoot the way you describe including Mongolian and Japanese archery.

English style shooting and nearly all Olympic, Hunting and recreational shooting in the US and Europe have the arrow on the side of the bow riser nearest the back of the hand. That is how it has been done since Ancient Greece at least.

Here is a left handed Olympic competitor for reference:

And a traditional archer:

I am not having a go at you at all, this is just one of my pet peeves in entertainment; a complete lack of understanding of weaponry and how it works. It is my job, I suppose, so I am supposed to be picky about it, but it does drive my girlfriend nuts sometimes.

Yep with traditional bows the arrow gos by the knuckle not only to increase the draw distance slightly but also to stop ot falling off the bow as you bring it to Beare

Is that a specific universe version of Speedy?
I'm trying to work out what's going on with his head. It looks like he's in full superhero gear and then has an orange affro stuffed under a grey/green ball cap....?

New Rulebook

http://www.beastsofwar.com/batman-miniature-game/batman-miniatures-game-rulebook-coming/

Any clue as to price?
Any clue as to release date?
Any clues on new releases to look for?

I hope they unify the aesthetic for the character cards. They should all be the same layout like the police dossier.
The Watchmen, Arkham City & Arkham Origins ones make my eyes bleed.

This game could use a starter box...
Though I'd be even happier if they'd flesh out the range with more large force bundles like the GCPD, Penguin, Joker & Liam Neeson ones.
I don't see those on any retail sites here in the USA tho :-/

Also, there ought to be a large box with uhhhh Batman in it!
Two-Face, Black Mask & Bane would be great too.
Man Bat could be a sick model.
It'll be interesting to see if they elect to do any other comic story arcs as a series of minis. The cartoon range could have potential also
I'd like to see Tim Burton Era models as well.
Just please no Joel Schumacher Nipples!!

This game looks intriguing. However, I'm currently a slave to CB & Infinity.
Batman needs some more polishing & I'm glad to see it's getting it!

I've been waiting for this rulebook for ages, very exciting I hope it covers all the DC models and not just the Batman ones.

I'll ask and see if I can get some info on the printed rulebook. I love the art in the online version, and hope they can bring that along.

Please, yes, a unified card look in the format of the police/Arkham files. The digital files are pretty horrendous. Considering all the new models are coming out with the police file version, I think that should be the expectation now.

http://www.miniaturemarket.com/table-top-miniatures/knight-models.html Fair prices as well.

The problem with a Batman box is that he basically does not have minions. SWAT/police are the only law minions, and they really fit better with Gordon. Now, a Batman Family box (Batman, Robin, Nightwing) in the style of the Gotham Sirens (Catwoman, Ivy, Harley) or Birds of Prey (Canary, Huntress, Batgirl) would be welcome and likely.

Man Bat, Scarface, Wildcat, (and of course Calendar Man!)---lots of good potential models to be made.

I like the game. Nice low model count. Always mission based. Very thematic/dramatic.
And a nice feature has to do with terrain. While a good amount of terrain is always nice, BTG can be played with almost no terrain. Given that its always considered DARK, and that limits sight, you can play with only a few real obstructions. I plan on using the recent Big Box KS graveyard to host a lot of BTG games.

Oh and their website really needs to be reorganized. Just divide up the gangs into their own page & a page for free agents.

That's how they print on a spine in Spanish-speaking countries. Nice find though. Will be interesting to see if they change that in the English version.

I dunno if this has appeared on the thread before.
It's much easier to use than the official website to look thru the band lists.

Does anybody know of any good battle reports for the Batman Miniatures Game?

I've seen this short one with Bane
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3G1P4iXGb8
However, I'm looking for an entire game in a battle report.

There's plenty of long winded preview & review videos, but I want to see the game played from start to finish.
