I count 34 skulls in that image.

There's a mountain of Imperial Guard corpses stacked in front of them, I'm sure they all have skulls too.

Actually, 41 by my count. That's including the one in the blurred section that symetrically must be there, but not counding the bone-colored lumps on the top section which are probably (but not definitely) moar skullz.

I wonder what kind of name they're giving this defence line.

I wonder, these parts look like they were made to fit the Fortress of Redemption.

Unless you mean aesthetically, I doubt it; the trench wall seem to be much lower and less inclined. The lowest walkways of the Fortress are about as tall as a single City of Death tile you see in the background, with the bunkers being even taller. The trenches seem to be about half that height.

Selling for $205 Aus, or $240 for our NZ brethren...Looks like it might be a limited release, as it has a big "Available while stocks last " header. Also a new White Dwarf figurine available and the rather sweet but expensive Ultimate paint set...

Oh yeah, the trenchline kit is officially called "The Wall of Martyrs". Release date is the 17th November here in Oz..

However nice they are, and they do look nice, those better be available in separate kits as well, otherwise no sale.

Knowing GW that probably means they are hoping people will bumrush en masse to buy the (limited) expensive bundles... only to have the items separately later.

Almost every freaking thing they release gets a "limited" or "special edition" sticker lately.

1.) This one certainly fits exactly the Fortress of Redemption aestetic with its steel wings.

2.) It makes sense to release a full trench line, not just kits of ends or something. Terrain isn't popular enough to occupy so much shelf space continuously, as it would with unlimited separate kits.
3.) Tyranids call them steel sausages I will buy one!

That is some impressive looking terrain! It's almost like GW knew that I had only just finished painting my fortress of redemption.

I hope it does not turn out to be a limited time thing. I can usually resist quick impulse buys so I don't want to miss out on getting some later on.

These look pretty nice.

Hope the bundle is the limited time thing and the separate parts i.e Defence line, Bunkers and encampments get separate releases to allow for modular builds.

I need an excuse not to buy units while I catch up on some painting. Changing over to purchase some new terrain on the board is looking like a good idea.

Hey! Look at that!
A nice cuddly piece of terrain, nice'n fancy. Of course, I never really got too excited about terrain releases. I'd rather it be units, not something that I can do myself...for the cheap.

I dunno... I still find the idea of 'trenches' terrain where the trench floor is the same height as the ground kinda defeats the purposes of trenches.

Maybe they won't call 'em trenches...

And I really hope the "Piles'O'Cadians" are optional.

A truly good kit could be started small and expanded upon with multiple buys as well as an all-in-one expensive box. Make the smaller kits mailorder if shelf space is an issue.

There are no excuses

I see an "Assault on bastion 13" mission in the future! I feel sorry for xenos players. It would be easy to loot for Orks, but Tau, and Eldar, Nids. Maybe the rumors will pan out.

£130 seems like FW pricing to me but I guess we will see next week.
