You know, I find it amusing when an opponent is an 2 inches away, and I shoot at them, and still have the same chance as hitting them if they were 24 inches away, I think there should be a "point blank" rule, that makes it easier to hit units if you were say 3 inches from the target? Maybe +1 to the BS of the user? It would make things a little more, well, a little more see able IMO , like, if I was shooting someone at 100m away, I would be much less accurate than if he was 3 metres away, what do you guys think?

All ranges represented in 40k are already "point blank", Considering that 24" is quite a bit less than 50m "real scale". If you want a range-scaling system, then D6 really isn't the dice to use as the jumps are too extreme.

Yeah but you know what I mean, like the ranges are still a big part and point blank seems more realistic, don't you think? Except for maybe snipers as they should be at long range, so maybe -1 BS of user for snipers XD

2nd edition 40K had "Short" and "Long" range bands for each ranged weapon. Most weapons had +1 To Hit at short range, while many also had -1 To Hit at long range. Variations of course existed, things like +2 short, -2 long, or no bonus/penalty at one or the other.
A few rare things, like Arbites Executioner shells, had a bonus To Hit at long range instead.
It was an interesting system, but slowed things down quite a bit. (The more modifiers you allow, the less streamlined everything is.)

I think its an interesting idea, but I think they have it streamlined as a way to make it average out. Like with a Space Marine with a bolter, in a real situation he might have a harder time at long range than at close range but they even it out. and it makes it easier for new players who know "oh I have to roll a 4+ to hit" or something.

Plus the actual distances arn't consistant inside the actual battle.
So something that is 6" away might represent being within 50 meters, but somthing 12" away may represent 250 meters. And as the range increases, so too does the scale.
So a Railgun popping a 60" shot may be shooting at a distance of a dozen kilometers.

Yeah, I agree that weapon ranges handle this. It's already implied that guns can shoot farther than you can hit people in-game with, it's just that you're not going to be able to reliably hit someone with a boltgun from 60" away, even if the round could go that far, so they just cap the range at what point you could reasonably get hits with.
Secondly, shooting doesn't need any more buffs, especially not ones that only really come into play against assault armies...

Maybe +1 BS, but the shot will still wound the same. I know a closer shot would be more high-powered as well but it really doesn't seem to work if you up the strength on your shots. How about maybe +1 strength if shooting at vehicles at point blank, which would possibly allow even guardsmen to glance ork buggies.

You know how people in WHFB can March to move more quickly when there are no nearby enemies? Maybe it's like that.

an idea just popped into my head.
Special rule: Point Blank.
When firing Overwatch with a Point Blank weapon, it hits on 5+ at +1S of the weapons base stats. All other weapon rules and stats apply.

Stub guns should benefit from this at least, and sluggas, the things that actually use real bullets >.< Googlers can kill most things anyway, and poisoned weapons wouldn't benefit at all, but over all a decent sounding rule

You know how people in WHFB can March to move more quickly when there are no nearby enemies? Maybe it's like that.
I find it's much easier to just assume that a game of 40k represents approximately 1-2 minutes of a firefight occuring between two forces at distances of about 150 metres.
You don't need too much abstraction and the ranges and speeds make more sense (though fliers are a little odd).
