If you don't want to help or have something valueble to say, then don't.
And yes, that is coming from my mouth

Anyways, back on topic. I think we may need some more background, since it usually/always has influence on the name of a regiment.
Were do they come from?
Combat preferences?
etc.

The super extreme manly men with very large guns!

Sarcasm aside, guard regiments are usually named after their home planet so it follows this template: The [planet name] 5th Regiment. Or whatever number you want. Just come up with a planet name. They also can be named after a famous commander they have/had.

Guard regiments tend to go in the form [NUMBER] [st/nd/rd/th] [PLANET], as in Creed's favorite 8th Cadian, or the 101st Vendoland seen in the Dawn of War games, or Ciaphas Cain's 597th Valhallan. Make up a planet and assign your regiment a number.

Zharils Own- planet- #
Zharils Heroes- planet- #

or you could go for an animal name-

Zharils Striking Serpents- planet- #
Zharils Raging Bulls- planet- #
Zharils Coiled Cobras- planet- #
Zharils Wild Boars- planet- #

or just "the Striking Serpents", "the Raging Bulls", etc,

You could also try thinking about your home town or county or state as its name inspiration.
My Guard are the 142nd Angel Regiment from the Britannic sector. They are a mix from the mining world of Stonewall and Angel prime, both worlds are in the Havant star system

I would go with The Lord Commander's Own, or Zharil's Regiment of Foot.

Think of something clever to say.

I recently named my guard regiment using this website. Although it is for star wars it still works for 40k, it is a planet name generator. If you go along the route of naming your regiment after their planet then it is a good start.

It would be really cool if they were named after a body part and a violent action. I know its more Orky than Imperial, but it could be fun.

Then you don't even know who Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch is.

Begone with ye, lol.

I was also partial to slaanesh myself. If they are a renegade guard army, they could always be Zharil's Violators. Or the Violators of Zharil (depending on his dominance/submission).

9th arcadian Hoplites
21st Sentex jannisaries
200th Belist Auxilia

In essence
Regiment number- planet- unit name

So take your pick
Hoplites, Cattaphracti, militia, Cohort, Lancers, dragoons,
There's loads of choice.
