So the way I'm reading this, if a shot hits any of your guys, either by scattering from speculative fire or whatever... the shot is cancelled and nothing happens. Which means you can't kill yourself by scattering a grenade or rocket into your own stuff.

Am I reading this right?

Kinda on the same topic, if you're hitting someone with a direct template weapon eg. a chain rifle, and they ARO to shoot you, they just automatically get hit right, whether you get shot or not?

So many games, so little time.

So many models, even less time.

Screw it, Netflix and chill.

That I know, and yes. If you ARO with a template weapon then you hit... done.

Chemical Cutthroat regarding your OP I don't think so mate. It basically just says you are not allowed to place the template so that one of your own units is under it, in which case the shot is auto-cancelled.

On the other hand when you fire the grenade launcher providing that none of your own units are under the initial template when the shot is taken then that will still count - if the shot then scatters onto your own unit then that is happening after the fact.

Think about the logic of it - some guy doesn't fire his flamethrower into a room because his squad buddy is in there. But, you can't say "well actually that was a dud" if it bounces off a wall and lands at someone's feet

That makes absolutely zero sense logically, and also it's really boring!

I blame the Wiki. That's what threw me off initially.

Well still good to know regardless.

Why can't it multiply the distance by 2 rather than 2.5? Gamers don't need to think that hard.

Centimetre to inch conversion dealio?

Many euros don't understand the whole inches thing - because they've never really been taught it.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I personally think this is broken considering the difference between a success can be anywhere up to 19 inches which could result in a deviation of up to 47 inches is just mad, seriously i would never trust a guy with weapon that misses that badly 1inch deviation would have been perfectly acceptable in my opinion.

The deviation system has often been the subject of many complaints.
