Hey guys I was curious I haven't seen much about the war shrine so what do you guys think of it? More specifically is it viable in a game? If so how? Thanks!

Empire gets a war alter.

Chaos is awesome.

The War Altar is still a pretty good choice. Not as good as it used to be, but hey, them's the breaks. It provides you with an 18" Ld bubble (good), protects the important General/hatred/prayer dispenser from close combat - the primary source of hurt I gather -, makes him stubborn and adds another useful spell to the inventory.

The downside is cannon (popular) and bolter-heavy Elves (rare). The charmed shield and a Talisman of Preservation are mandatory, while a STank, cannon, and a Captasus can all help to draw and dilute fire and/or silence enemy guns.
