Stealing even more wind out of Defiance Games. Great for Antenociti. I ccan't wait to buy a few of those suits, purely for the fun of it.

Interesting. So Antenociti's Workshop got the awesome StTheo to work concepts for them. It's great, and I love them.

I've always been a fan of Theo Stylianides's "Helldiver" series of art.

Spoiler:

AW had better do those concept justice! I have faith.

The concepts are incredible, obviously a 28mm will never be able to get close to that level of detail, but it will be interesting to see how close they can get!

Definitely think there is a market for this, as a slightly more hard sci-fi concept than Infinity (without the manga/anime elements).

Any increase of the sci fi market is good in my opinion, if ti accompanied with great models of a great concept so much the better.

Is the infantry to be sold also in 15mm or are they going to be made only in 28mm?

That's an interesting question. So far most of the stuff they have done has been 28mm, followed by 15mm later on, so perhaps this system and miniatures will follow suit?

I would say probably at least 80-85% of their stuff is 28mm though, if one includes all the terrain accessories and the like.

I think it's mostly StTheo making SciFi art on his DeviantArt inspired by the thoughts of putting them in the Aliens universe. Then, when Antenociti's Workshop contacted him for concept art, they were already ready. Just a guess.

I don't know why but this puts me in mind of Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors?

Also Ltd Edition, GW sales technics spreading to the wider market? In all seriousness this must have an on going appeal so why limit it?

The "limited edition" part might be for the fact that this one is all-resin, but they plan on doing a plastic/resin kit later or something similar.

YES that's it, was wondering what it reminded me of! Just needs a big claw thing on the top of it, and a strangely levitating fish creature alongside it now

pretty sure the limited edition refers to an all resin model (Jed can probabley do all the resin casting in-house) and a metal/resin model fill follow a little later.

That was my thought as well. Somebody ought to update the thread title though. I came in here expecting an actual update about the Kickstarter.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

Latest update:

"Wales & West" Heavy Sentry - multi-part configurable robot that you can place in a multitude of poses yourself - the legs and feet are fully configurable, being able to change position at "ankle" "Knee" "lower thigh" and "upper thigh" - the upper thigh can be rotated on the central pivot and the upper-body can be positioned as liked on the bell-joint. On the head the chin-gun can be rotated and both the missile and heavy canon can be adjusted horizontally. The result being that you can put these bots into a heck of a lot of positions with minimal fuss.

This fella should be available in September in all-metal and we may also do a high-quality resin Ltd Edition.

Can imagine a really cool scenario with this where your team have to get to some console, past the security guys, and this is the 'boss' - no doubt someone doing an ED209 "you have 10 seconds to comply" impression while they are playing

Actually I thought of a Mercedes grill, but didn't dare to name it
Hope they asked for a licence, as it is an obvious clone.

I'm sure they've got a licence from the artists concerned as they've licenced the art for some of the dropships

You can see the clearly Mercedes bit on the badge from the concept art has been dropped from the actual vehical cast
