TL: DR the Dormitory Habitat 3 (the smallest one) will be about £11.80
Forward Base Pricing:
Pricing for this KS has been quite difficult as there is nothing like this range of buildings currently out in the marketplace; some companies have pre-painted MDF, a few might have some resin add-ons, but nobody has both pre-painted MDF with prepared surfaces and pre-coloured external resin.
It is also quite difficult to find other buildings that closely match the design, size and complexity to allow for perfect comparisons.
What we've done is to take samples from across the Industry of roughly comparable volume, size and shape, where possible, of buildings from various manufacturers and then determine how competitive we wanted our building prices to be.
We decided that, other than for purely aesthetic reasons (issues of pure style or design) we wanted the Habitat range of buildings to be “no-brainers” for those who liked the design style.
As such we have been very aggressive with the retail pricing f.ex looking at the smallest Habitat (3 – Dormitory) we found a number of roughly comparable alternative products that came in with un-prepared MDF, un-painted and with no exterior or interior resin at £15.00 and more.
And so we decided that our Retail price for our ‘pre-painted, premier surface, including exterior resin product’ would be just £17.50p… and that all of our other Habitats would reflect that extremely close market price between our finished product and other companies’ un-painted products. Indeed in some cases some of the Habitats, with the resin exterior parts, with being pre-painted, are cheaper, at full retail prices, than some of the un-painted buildings by other manufacturers.
And that, of course, is the intended retail price after the end of the Kickstarter… during the Kickstarter everybody has the opportunity to get from 12.5% to 32.5% discount on all of the Habitat buildings… so that Dormitory you could be getting for as little as £11.80p or, to put it another way, almost 25% cheaper than an unpainted comparable building.
£15.00 unpainted OR £11.80p pre-painted, with pre-coloured exterior details in resin & acrylic Plus with smooth surfaces suitable for sci-fi…?
As we said, we wanted the decision to be a ‘no-brainer’ and we hope it is.
The Building pledge levels will therefore represent the pledge costs of the buildings with a “saving” shown against our intended retail price after the Kickstarter… and those intended retail prices are already, in our opinion and from our research, exceptionally competitive.
This is why we have described the Kickstarter with the label “One-Off Pricing” – there is simply no way that we could offer these discounts again outside of Kickstarter, so we really do encourage folks to grab-them-while-you-can, because we won’t be repeating these offers, offers which we sincerely hope are popular with you and the first of which we will be revealing later today.
Habitat 6- Science!
Not all environments are friendly and your enemies might be using bio-weapons.. therefore what every Forward Base needs is a Bio-Lab with airlocks, clean-rooms and a quarantine area where "aliens can be probed in safety..." (or maybe not...)
The bio-lab still has some items not yet finished - the airlock doors and some other internal elements are yet to be 3D printed, but the current state of the building gives you a good idea of its layout and internal scatter... Internal Translucent Acrylic parts are included in the basic price, as is rooftop ducting and fan systems.

Habitat 5 - Workshop & TAG Bay
Every Forward Base needs somewhere to fix things and Habitat 5 is a beast of a Workshop & TAG Bay.
It comes with a fully-detailed interior, requiring no resin-panelling and is also pre-boosted with Feet, Steps and Integral Ladders.
Its big enough to hold 2 Samsara Utility Vehicles or 4-6 TAGs and its cavernous interior doubles-up as a pretty good Party-Zone when the bosses aren’t watching.

Gah... wish I wasn't dead broke with Christmas coming up.
I think I have enough for Infinity right now, but those are some nice buildings.
I may have to piggy back on a friend's order and get one or 2 buildings to go with my colony/ Ariadna FOB theme table.
That Bio-Lab and Vehicle bay are both very nice.

OK... here's a link to an image of the 'Building Pledges'.
These pledges are for *just* the building sets and are comprised of the pre-painted buildings, pre-coloured exterior resin fittings and any acrylic for those exterior parts.
There will another set of pledges being released later this week, that contain pledges of the buildings PLUS all the possible interior and exterior scatter resin (and vehicles), and finally the pledges that deal with *just* resin and don't contain any buildings in them.
(Also please note that Videos for Habitats 7, 8 and 9 will be released tomorrow)

Right then, sorry about that... we updated a post and then deleted the wrong one.... and then deleted the update also.. .. SO... *Deep Breath* ... let's try that again (and this time with the amended image!)

Delivery set for March onwards the earlier you back the earlier you get your stuff
Antenociti's Workshop Wave 1 (Early Birds) fulfilled in March or earlier Richard, subsequent fulfillment from March onwards
"Habitat 7" is a combined "Command & Control", "Security" and "Flight Control" post for monitoring all activity in and around your Forward base.
The video does not show three large resin-cast workstations which slot into the named spaces on the inside of the Tower and take up a big chunk of space, as well as transforming it into a real digital-control center... renders of these will be available during the kick-starter.
The Landing Pad on the roof top is large enough for small drop-ships and "flyers" such as the "City Hopper" - a medical evacuation variant of which is very popular among explorers and science teams as it can land in very tight areas yet get back to civilization exceptionally quickly...by jetting up almost to the Karman layer and going hyper-sonic to its destination.

Habitat 8 - Recreation
Sometimes “temporary” Forward Bases become rather “semi-permanent” and there comes a time where more organised entertainment is required than late-night parties in the Workshop.Habitat 8 is built by 'Avalon' and offers food, drink, Hi-def entertainment, the very latest Aristeia and, of course, Hex-Pool.
(There are a few internal components still to be completed such as Bar-items, drinks-Optics and some storage racks, renders of which will be shown in the Kickstarter.)

So, I can see where the rooftop hatch is to get down into the tower (why you'd have a single , human size ladder hatch down into a Control tower.. I dunno), but where is the main access from?
Most control towers have an elevator or stairs to reach the top level. I saw no such indications on the floor or sides of the tower for a door?

I've been wanting to get some of the plastcraft games infinity terrain though I really like this stuff, will see how much it will cost to fill a 4x4 table from both companies and will see, though the plastcraft stuff has bridges connecting buildings, I love bridges, will this KS have bridges?

That's pretty much the issue I have with it as well only a one person wide access hatch so not very practical for cargo etc. it would need a lift or a crane.
I'm only interested in the resin add ons so it won't bother me anyway (I'm not a fan of HDF/MDF nice designs here but I don't like the material)
I love the thought that has gone in to the recreation module. When somebody makes a piece of terrain that represents a place where people eat, I always find myself thinking "Where is this food actually prepared and cooked? Where are the frozen food / ingredients stored?"
It's a silly thing, but it always bugs me. You see that in ship blue prints a lot, too. Here is the bridge, here are the berths, this is the table where the crew sit down and eat.. okay, sure. But where exactly are you keeping six months of food for your crew of 10 or is everybody eating pot noodles?
Glad to see AW thinks of these things
..damn this KS is going to hurt my wallet.
