I was looking at a new car, I quite fancy a Toyota GT86
http://www.toyota.co.uk/cgi-bin/toyota/bv/frame_start.jsp?id=CC2-GT86-landing

However, it's looking like I may have killed the bunny, so I may need something with more seats.....

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

Yay I'm relevant again.

I drive a 1992 Nissan Silvia.

Album of the road to getting it fixed.
http://imgur.com/a/zpK9f

What it looks like now.

When I initially had it, it was sitting out the backing being left to rust, I eventually convinced my Dad to let me fix it.

Current plants are new suspension, and maybe a turbo conversion down the track if I feel like wasting my money. Otherwise I'll just fix a rather annoying oil leak and leave it at that.

Massive waiting list for the 86 unfortunately.

Lots of people over here would kill to get their hands on a Silvia. Lots of motor swapping going on with the 240 scene.

Yeah, I noticed that people do a lot of SR20 swaps over there. Here in Australia they come as standard.

They're awesome cars, I wouldn't get rid of it for the world. I just wish I had the time and money to keep it the way I want.

Out of all the Japanese imports Ive always been a fan of Nissan. Its a shame the Sylvias and Skylines didnt make their way over here. Except for R32 and R33 Skylines that got imported later. I also know a guy with a legit Integra Type R that was illegally imported; he got a letter stating if they ever saw it on the road they would impound and crush it. It just collects dust in his garage now :(

Speaking of Australia......Ford Falcons!!! More Ford love we will ironically never see in the States, along with the Focus RS (though I did own a complete clone briefly).

Looks a little like this for people that have never heard of these beasts....

Quite a few years ago we had a 1989 Dodge Caravan (couple model generations before yours I think) that was a complete basket case. The blower for the heat/air would get stuck during the winter so you would have to punch/kick the dash to free it. Got so cold one year I punched it and a circle about a foot in diameter completely broke off the dash. Then when the breaks needed swapping, the previous owner had thrown a set of crappy aftermarket rims on it that, with new pads, would force the caliper into the backside of the rim, so had different rims in front than back... it never got an oil change because it would use about 5 quarts a month so it was constantly getting fresh oil, and you would think it would be blowing smoke like a train or leaking everything on the ground but it didnt leak at all, and only smoked when you started it. That little gem met its demise while sitting on a hill in Olympia waiting at the light and the transmission caught on fire... but up until that point it was the best 200$ minivan we ever owned but it was also the only one we ever owned lol

Good times lol

That really is a shame, something about emissions standards or something I assume?

Australia really is quite a good place for imports though, I may end up getting an S15 down the road. R33's are probably the most common import in Australia, they're like the Corolla of imports. Should also mention that S13s are insanely cheap here that it's disgusting, you get a lot of people treating them like trash in the local scene which depresses me greatly when I see them torn apart like tin cans on the side of a road.

It's pretty strange that you guys don't get Falcons, given there originally was a car called the Ford Falcon in the states. Unfortunately it looks like Holden (GM Australia) and Ford are going down into the dumps without some serious help from the government.

I was at one point quite active on the jap import scene in the UK.
I ran around in an MR2 turbo for a while.
It was a bit special, with, amongst other things, a Wizards of Nos wet Nitrous kit in it with 100Bhp jets
I had a custom cold air box linked to air scoops.
I doubt I'll see its like again.

I suppose I should finally let you know what I have sitting in the garage for the season...

03 Terminator Cobra. Full bolt ons, x-pipe, no cats, 2.76 s/c pulley, springs, strut brace, subframe connectors, the list goes on. Puts down roughly 460 to the wheels. Ive gone through a few nice cars but this was the prize Ive been after. Ive owned two SVT Focuses (ST170 to those of you over the pond), a Focus RS clone, and an SVT Lightning. I dont see myself getting rid of the Termi anytime soon but Ive got my eyes on a new Edge Sport for a daily.

Nice color, I actually like the new Fusions, just wish they had a "sport" model or something, instead of the hybrid. Granted I know its supposed to be a family type sedan but still, its hard to have a front end like that without a sport model. It is good to see Ford going in the right direction with their car line up.

I've got a 93 MR2, Non turbo. Fun to take to the track and you don't feel like your overcompensating for anything. Hell of a car really. I've driven the turbos and was not impressed with the lag and they always seamed to kick in at the most inopportune times. I knew a guy who used to work repair Toyotas, he said those turbos were pretty bad and the cause of quite a few accidents.

Well, depends on what I wan the car/truck for. If I want something durable and will take a lot of punishment, I'll go with a Toyota Hilux pickup truck. The guys at Top Gear UK tried to destroy one by running it into a tree, drowning it, hitting it with a wrecking ball, dropping a caravan on it, dropping it from a crane, setting it on fire and putting it on a 24 story building that was demolished from under it and were able to keep it running with basic tools and no spare parts. It did end up looking pretty thrashed at the end tho.....

Then they used a more suped up version of the Hilux to drive to the North Pole and on a volcano in Iceland....

The first car I bought:(Not actual pic, but one exactly like it 1979 Cadillac Hearse).

This is what I currently drive (2008 Impala).

If I had an extra 100k Plus and wanted an electric car I would buy this (2012 Tesla Roadster Electric).

You forgot Tactical Dreadnought Armor.

The car was codenamed "Terminator" during producttion and the name stuck. Thats what most people in the car scene call it.

Does your Terminator actually have a "Skynet" license plate?

LOL yes it does.

Here is a quick flyby I did with a friend of mine. He's got the "STi" Forester (EBay turbo, bolt-ons, tune, springs, 300-ish whp).
