Ultimately, I'd like to have a Ford Mustang Super Snake:

For now, I got this '06 GT to roll around in:

The 2002 Honda Accord: the car of choice for guys who don't need to compensate for anything, and enjoy never having any engine problems.

Thought I'd chime in on this too. Such a bitter comment. That's like saying "oh, I just proxy plastic army men from the dollar store as Imperial Guard in W40k games. I don't need to compensate for anything by getting the fancy IG models from Games Workshop." Obviously you're happy with your 2002 Honda Accord and that's fine and dandy--a lot of people are fine with a medicore car they can roam around in and wash once a year. Personally, and there's a lot of people like me as well, I'd prefer to drive something a bit nicer (IMO anyways), and considering I drive every single day why not have something I truly enjoy to drive? It's also as much a hobby as anything else. I saved up my money like a big boy, paid cash for my car, take good care of it and I enjoy it every day. Anyone who would say I'm compensating for something is clearly bitter. Don't be mad, bro.

I agree with lt coldfire. Why did he feel the need to make that comment. I don't need to make up for anything. I have a 2012 titan. A 1997 mustang(modified) and a 2009 gsxr 750. Just because you don't want a nice car doesn't mean someone who does is making up for something. That comment was just ignorant.

Kalish, I honestly wouldnt go anywhere near a C4 Vette. C5 or C6 for summer driving yeah, but never a C4 Vette for anything.

Just my two cents.

Loving the Super Snake! Saw a red one once at a car show; chatted with the owner he was wicked cool. Not a prick at all like some high-enders can be.

I was more or less joking, just picked up an 05 Hyundai Elantra with 97k on it this morning. Drives really nice, fresh tires. Out the door for 3.6, coming to just over 4k with some maintenance and a stereo (vehicle didn't have one, I like music when I'm driving)

All told she came home for 4-5k under the Kelly Blue Book

Thank you used car auctions!

ha. I looked at the picture again. You can see the transmission leaking under the front wheel.

Yeah if I were going to take a pciture of my car I would be sure to not park it on an oil spot, or if it leaks that much move it and take a picture before a puddle forms

I have a choice between one of these...

One of these....

Or one of these.....

The first two I can buy outright, the last one, the Citroen DS3, would require finance. So which one Dakka?

Lots of Ford love in this thread. This is mine (not my actual car but the same model):

Mine is modded a bit though; lowered slightly, uprated brakes, uprated exhaust (complete with obligatory Essex trumpets) as well as the full MR375 tuning package from Mountune. Its running about 375 BHP at the moment - not too shabby.

I'm not even sure I have a picture of my car, much less one I can post at work.

I drive a 2012 Hyundai Sonata, with a six speed manual transmission. When I went car shopping a year ago, all I wanted was a stick shift, good interior room, and decent gas mileage. I've since completley fallen in love with it. It's comfortable, got plenty of get up and go, and there's nothing like driving a stick!

Very nice! My god I love the RS line. I used to own a Mk1 RS clone a few years back. It was built by a shop out in Cali out of european parts cars (thanks to Class B insurance breaks I think you call them?). Full body and suspension swap with a 2.3 Duratec block and T3/T4 turbo @7psi. It was maybe 200hp to the wheels but drove like it was on rails. Sold it to a guy out in Minnesota who has finished the conversion, turned the boost upt to 12psi, and is doing bottom end work currently. Pics when I dig em up.
