Hi there I've recently been working on a inquisitor retinue for 40k and wanted to create a female daemonhost or maybe assassin/hired gun but GW mini's suck when it comes to women so was curious if any other manufacturers had anything suitable? I've had a quick look at some Freebooter offerings but i have no clue on the scale likewise with other companies I've seen.
Cheers.
Jay.

Ermm... Lemme see. Of the top of my head, Urban War, Infinity, and Mercs all do plenty of female assassin-y sci-fi combat females.
*mind blanks*
Nope, that's it. Sorry, i'm not much use today.

How do these look? The kickstarter succeeded well, but they won't enter retail for another couple months. If you can wait, imo they are *the* best female troopers around atm. Lacking that, you could go for a wood elf body (or other elf, eldar etc) with third party female heads. These are a couple rough female Tanith First I've done, they need refining but you get the idea. I'm using Brother Vinnis heads on the 2 fems there, they're great imo... if a little offset from where they should be in my rough pic : p edit: I also have a Kapitan Ivanka, that's a great model too for a female commissar.

I might sound like a broken record, bt I'm usually partial to Reaper's single models for the more individual characters in my armies.
For an assassin you might want to look at:

For the deamonhost this one might be nice: (NSFW though)

They are so nice! Which kickstarter were they from? Just too many to keep track of them all at them moment...

Hi !
It's neither an assassin nor a demonhost, but I really like this female Commissar from WarForge . I really enjoyed painting her ! One of my favorite paintjob so far.

Sorry about the delayed reply my internet has been playing up lately but thanks for the suggestions I'll have a proper look when it's sorted. I didn't want them to stand out to much from the rest of the retinue/squad which currently only consists of Solomon Lok and a gun servitor (gotta start somewhere).

Just an idea, I know that these may not be ideal for everything and they look kind of strange with the regular Cadian arms on them but Chapterhouse has some female infantry. http://chapterhousestudios.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=77_125&product_id=163

They really are aren't they ; ) This is the Dakka news thread on it, 83 pages so far I think, and this is the kickstarter page. We've only seen up close the new male stormtroopers, but they were really high quality as shown below. I'm looking forward to my 20 Black Widows arriving, along with all the other goodies from Dreamforge.

Ah, thanks a lot Yonan. I do remember seeing this one now, but I got turned away by a combination of my lack of interest in titans and a lack of will to keep reading... Going to have to save up for when those beauties are eventually released!

Anyone else have any female minis/conversion bits? I'm curious too because I'm trying to make some Metal Gear characters for my Guard army, so I'm sure this thread's helping a few people.

Utilizing Careful Highlighting

I'm really picky with my minis, especially female ones because I also use them for tabletop RPGs and my female players complain if my female minis look like crap.
Three lines passed my taste so far: Infinity, Statuesque Miniatures and Dark Sword miniatures.
http://www.infinitythegame.com/infinity/en/
http://www.statuesqueminiatures.co.uk/
http://darkswordminiatures.com/
Especially Statuesque, if you want a modern/sci fi army and they're easier to convert since they'll be in resin.

Feminine without being a chainmail bikini. Mark and the WGF crew have done a remarkable job, I hope this is a trend for the industry. No other female trooper comes close imo.
