I could probably make something the last Saturday in March and still be able to attend the 1500 pt Swiss event in April.

Congrats Mike! Those Orks are a sight to see; I'm glad to see them get recognition.

There's a handful of smaller events going on the 30th, but I'm pretty sure it's nothing that preclude us from doing a make-up tournament.

What's the format for Adepticon? We could mirror that so Blackmoor can get his reps.

In any case, I'll be at the shop this afternoon, check my schedule there, and sort out a March event.

Is this a reference to the tau hammerheads with double rail guns that were really double plasma cannons?

This is why I am in favor of FW models only for FW units. FW is not as well known so counts as is a major problem IMO, but if you want to buy the actual model and use it, I am ok with it since I can easily recognize a non-standard model for what it is, non standard.

I used two Mortis dreads from one of the original books and I think they are really the only thing that let me compete against flyers. I played against a 3 helldrake list and managed to down them all, but lost on the last turn to a single dice roll. IMO The dreads turned what would've been a nightmare for me into a very competitive, down to the wire match. So I'm all for it.

I didn't see any caestus assault rams though, so maybe I should shut my mouth before someone drops $300 to win all the tournaments with it. Andy....

Yes, that was part of it.

If you are going to run forgeworld you really need to have them play forgeworld models only. Also you need to present your opponent with copies of their rules. He had a lot of forgeworld and all I received was an army list.

In the other thread we are all talking about how we do not have enough time and forgeworld just takes a lot longer to explain an to read before the game begins.

I think a good way to break it in is to limit it to one unit selection per army. For example, you can run multiple units of tetras, but you can't take any further forgeworld selections. Also, to have it modeled appropriately as per the rules.

You should have brought it up to Reece, Alan. It seems like you took a lot of grief that should have been put down by the TO's. It's one thing to be a "TFG" and call someone out on their BS, but they are literally cheating you. And in that situation, I wouldn't even consider it being TFG. It's holding your opponent to the expectations you had coming into the tournament.

I have a hard enough time convincing my wife that I NEED to buy anything, let alone spend $300 on bent FW resin.
Feels like I'm moulding a mouthpiece that I paid too much for.
Not that it stops me from wanting to collect (hoard) it by any means.
Don't worry about me in the tournaments by the way, sounds like everyone has enough trouble of their own what with getting beat by a girl...

Any word on the tournament later this month? My Spacewolf/Ork list is almost fully painted. Yes thats right orks and space marines riding giant cybernetic foxes with power weapons. Fun fun for the whole family.

They are having an event on April 13th so they might as well skip one this month.

I'll be able to camp a couple tables for minis if guys want to come and get some games in, but we're looking forward to the April tournament at this point.

And you always say your not a skilled gamer. Casey... you have skills that I admire if you can squeeze beers in on that schedule.

I know I advocated to have smaller points levels at the next few tournaments so games could finish on time. But. It is hard to make a 1500 point list I like! Just too used to the higher points levels I guess.

If I can make an Ork/Thuder Cav list at 1500 and include 4 HQ's, then anyone can make a fun list at 1500
