Call the store and ask.

However, as a veteran of this FLGS, I can tell you that reserving spots has not been the case for the monthly tourneys. Show up, sign in, pay fee, and you're good to go. Just don't show up late.

Again, I recommend that you go ahead and call them directly and ask.

Ha! Allan is a push over. I hear he got beat by a gurl once.

Actually, Allan is a great opponent, even when you lose to him.

I'm hoping for a quick game, a Lucky Baldwin run, another quick game, 2nd LB run and maybe a third. Lather, Rinse, repeat.

I know that Grimgob is counting on me to pull it off. I have LB on Speed-Dial, so I'm ready.

Ok just checking, otherwise I would bring a cheese list of unpainted silliness. I prefer my painted army though

I am bringing a painted army of cheesy silliness! But I am pretty sure you're safe to bring the painted stuff and continue your dominance at winning best army.

For those on the edge of their seats:

Allan's GK took top honors.

Mike D' power armored goons took ... Best General? 2nd?

Mike Fox's orks were painting/favorite army.

Yours truly, Best Sportsman. (izzat the 'humble' icon?)

Sounds even better! Congrats on this!

I'll try to work in at least one or two from Lucky Baldwins in honor of your absence. You know, there being several opportunities between games with a 4 game schedule.
And you always say your not a skilled gamer. Casey... you have skills that I admire if you can squeeze beers in on that schedule.

@ Grimgob:
I *did* achieve this goal, putting 4 down for the day. I didn't even have to rush back for Day's End announcements.

@Phatom:
Did you actually show up? I forgot to ask the two new guys I played, Thomas or Darrell?

How deep was the field. Looking at their facebook page there were 6-8 people in attendance.

Only 10, which was kinda of a let down. I thought there would be a bigger turnout. Hopefully the next one will have more people. And damn it I want a huge turn out for the Fluffy tournament, Ill be unveiling some new orky stuff then.

While it was a small turnout the competition was pretty fierce. There were some great players with great lists in attendance.

I agree with Mike hopefully the next one will get a bigger turnout. I have something really special planned for the fluffy tournament! It will be a 100% brand new army once again, with some really cool conversions and FW models too.

They need to hype this better. I was in the store 2 weeks ago and talked to the owner about what was going on in his store related to 40K and he did not even mention this tournament. They had no mention of it on their facebook page for the last 2-3 weeks either. I only found out about it because I saw this thread here 3 days ago. Not enough time for me to make arrangements to come.

Ya I know. They are just FW models for current GW units. FW rules aren't allowed in the July tournament but the FW models I have don't need their own rules.

Sorry to hear about that. Check the opening message in this thread. It outlines the next two major 40k events at the store, also the 2nd Saturday of the Month is a 40k RTT.

Forgive me if it's too early for this, but how soon can we expect to know what the comp guidelines will be for FluffBunnyKillPocalypse 2013? Trying to decide if it's worth all the trouble to attend that one,

The focus on that day is just to have 3 fun games and see what cool things people have been working on. First prize is supposed to go to Best Army that day so I would imagine the comp restrictions won't be that heavy considering winning the actual tournament is secondary to having the coolest looking army. When I was coming up with this idea I didn't envision the Fluffy tournament having a super restrictive comp system just a comp vote by the players like we used to do way back in 4th and the very beginning of 5th.

I thought he was for a minute, but thanks to him failing his first 2 grounding checks and an 11" charge through cover he didn't.
