yep, I almost did. Alan caught an awesome 11 in charge through cover at the bottom of 5 to take out my Great Unclean one and surge ahead in KPs. It was a rough and close game I had with him.

Nurgle daemons are dirty. Having a 2+ cover save for 80% of the game is just nuts.

Some little bird told me that an old, non-competitive, codex army won the day.

Best general was decided by sportsmanship scores (I still wish to give props to the propa smashing the Orks gave out). Soft scores suck and I'm all for thumbs up/thumbs down, as long as you have a reason to thumbs down. 40k has gak all to do with chipmunking when someone gets butt hurt about loosing. I might be excitable but I'm not a jerk to anyone.

For the last one Tau had only been out a week and it was allowed. I can only assume the same would apply here.

Submit lists morning of. Arrive after 9 but preferably before 10. I usually get there around 9:45-10:00 and that puts me firmly in the later, to almost late, bracket.

You should still be fine, Many of the games empire tournaments normally have someone or 2 with an unfinished army. Just come down and enjoy a good time with the rest of us. That's right finally a tournament I'll be able to get to since finals for college are up

As far as the incomplete models, you might at least have legs and torso. We are pretty casual about proxies (plasma gun here, LasCan there), but maybe not a buncha kroot for plague marines.

Paint? No sweat. there is a Best Paint, but if you're untainted, as Deztiny said, you will be okay.
