Hey, took 12 years for DE to get a new book - everyone else is on a roll!

NOV: Eldar

The Eldar? They are all but extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe. You, my friend, are all that's left of their religion.

I want them to be updated as much as the next guy... I just don't think it is likely.
Yes, and that's all the more reason to complain. If you don't like the complaints, either stop reading them, or bug GW to update Sisters.

Sisters of Battle got a book a year ago.
Yes, it was a White Dwarf book that while its distribution hasn't been handled that well, is at least reasonably competitive, but they're not going to get another one that soon.

If you're counting that you should count the 2 Chapter Approved army lists they got in the early 2000s.

Sisters have a proud tradition of being the last codex released, I don't expect them until after 2 or 3 more Marine books.

I was just going by what was on the Wiki page for release dates tbh.
Either way, they're last one was a year ago (and the BA WhiteDwarf-to-Codex jump was 3 years), so as nice it would be, I don't see them getting a new book until at least early 2014, and more likely late 2014/2015.

That said YAY Tau and Voidravens (I hope)

It better be 2014/2015, I don't think I can wait till 2018...

Half happy half sad about daemon, I just asked for their codex for christmas as all rumors I found were about 6 months old, so I thought they were wrong

Well, looks like I'll have to waste 80 something AUD on a new codex after christmas...

WD codexes don't really count, imho, as new people can't play unless they manage to find 2 issues of WD that are out of print...

On the contrary, they do count, at least as far as GW would be concerned, that is. From their perspective they released a Codex. It was a WD Codex, sure, but it was a Codex. The acceptance of that Codex by the SoB community (whose default state appears to be ‘wail and moan about everything’) doesn’t factor into it that much. I’m sure they’ll get a full Codex with a bunch’a shiny new releases, but in the meantime they have a Codex that is newer than the greater majority of the Codices in the game, and that’s the way it’ll be seen.

Every codex has been the last codex released - until the next one came out.

Just had a look at the daemon harpy models, they could do so much more with a generic flying humanoid daemon in plastic than those awful models.

I really hope harpies are in the daemon release and get a considerable rules update too. Something more is needed there.

Harpies? Don't you mean Furies?!

Yes, they're fething butt ugly, and they're also the absolute worst unit in the entire game too boot!

Yeah I mean Furies. But they could be so much better looking, a humanoid daemon with wings i'd get that.

Sisters have a habit of being the last one in before the edition changes.

And not in an "overpowered, written with it in mind" kinda way...
