Update 29/1/13

This morning I set to work on the front section of the Missile launcher.

I will inset the speakers so the it forms a box with one opening so the sound only
come out of the front like a funnel. This makes the sound louder to people to front of me.

I have been working hard on the Missile launcher and have made good progress.

This is really coming along well, I might even come & see it if I can

Looking amazing dude! You have to make all the speakers face the same direction though, all that unevenness is pain on my eyes!

Its Sunday, I have to look after the children today. While they are watching a film I did some more work on the costume.
Silver has been Added to the missile launcher the same will do done to the Assault cannon as too bring the contrast
between the body and the legs. The legs will have more silver, this will make it more visable in the carnival. I think it would
look silly and not match If the body was only gold and the legs only silver so this is why we have the silver added.

Do you have a photo of nigel stuck to your bathroom mirror like rocky had with Ivan drago?

Judging by the amazing level of detail and just sheer awesomeness of you work so far you are bound to beat Nigel this year!

Update 13/2/13

Work has started on the assault cannon arm.
I ran out of foam board, so need to make a run to the shop again.
Here is the progress to date.

Update 15/2/13

Tonight I have been working on the Assault Cannon arm after sorting out my kids.
Next will be the hard part the motor and lining up the barrels etc.
Two speakers will be added here for added sound, so ten speakers in total.

Update 16/2/13

Time for some more painting.

I put alot of detail on the bottom of the dreadnought main body and painted the blue on the Assault cannon arm.

I am aiming when finished that it looks like a giant painted figure with attitude.

Looking great all blue'd up. Now get that cannon built, that is the part I am looking forward too the most!

UPDATE 17/2/13

I got busted out of poker, so i came home and started to do a bit of painting
and the the stuff needed to do the Assault Cannon.

I will do a video when the cannon is complete to show the ideas I have for it and a sound test of the 8 speakers
on the missile launcher

The stuff I got was:

Wood, for the bottom of the cannon.

brass tube for the gun rotation rod.

Washers for the centre tube fixing to the brass rod.

plastic centre tube, and for supporting the barrels.

Pipe coller for the barrel end

20x L.E.D lights for the Cannon so it gets seen in the dark.

M.D.F board for the barrel end.

6x foam tubes for the barrels, helps to keep the weight down.

Bolsa wood for added detail and bulk to the cannon.

plastic pipe stopend for turning kog.
