If you want to test your nids then why not play against quality armies?
My opponent, who is also going to the
BAO as well, wanted to practice against my army. And I didn't mind playing against the grey knights as well. I don't refuse any challengers.

PS I was going to ask this in the necronid thread, but I didn't want to necro it.
Actually, I feel that tyranids matches up well against necrons. I myself as a necron player have trouble against tyranids. Every game I've had with Janthkin's bugs have been a tough, tough game with my crons having to battle back from behind for the hard-fought victory. And when I played as bugs against Janthkin's necrons, I felt that I was in control for most of the game (of course, if my opponent hadn't failed 3 key
LD tests which saw 2 units run off the board, things might have been different). In any case, all my experiences between tyranids and necrons (where I've been on both sides) have been close, hard-fought games.
Triple-
AB necrons are good, but sometimes, even they won't do much to a T8/9 Iron Armed tervigon. The one thing I constantly felt as a necron player was that I just didn't have enough firepower against the bugs, even with 3
AB's and 3-4 night scythes! Now 6
AB's on the other hand may be a different story (though I'm trying to not spam units like that).
