=P If you're up against a single enemy in Grimrock then there's no reason to be hit. That is if you're in a 2x2 room or larger. The spider level's full of corridors, and the rooms have three plus of the things in them, so the game forces you to hang back behind the gates. You can have all the antidotes you want, but that doesn't protect you from the physical damage.

Anyhow,Skyrim 50% off (or oddly 51% in the case of Dawnguard), yet no Dragonborn released yet? Bloody Xbox exclusives. (So I bought the Payday:The Hiest DLC and Galatic Civilisations 2 instead).^^

Edit: ...Every time I go to buy Galatic Civilisations the price seems to go from 75% off to 33%. ...Annoying.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion is only £8.50

Get sins.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Yeah, it's not worth it if you already have the previous games. It's an overpriced, under-achieving expansion, shouldn't bne 40 bucks normally.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

The original games are £4 or so, whilst the (not) expansion is £8. I'm conciderring the later, though looking at it I would've liked if the combat was more engaging. =/

"Get sins." is a running joke in the harem, based around the time when Purps, Sol, Whitey and me discovered it and started playing, then nagged everyone else to get it.

That's like the people that vote in a game to be 50% off when it was 75% off the previous day. ¬¬

(Though it was in the top four before the sale btw)

On a similar note of silly packs. I bought the complete Grand Theft Auto series last year for £4. ...Individually each game was at least £5 (so like £40 total). Valve uses a different numeracy system than the rest of the world.

Damnit. I bought Fallout 3 in the sale, and now I realise it's not only the censored German version, but also has no option to change the language back to english! Laaaame! Hope steam will give me my money back or fix the issue.

I don't care about the censorship so much (though it is completely stupid), but why the lack of language options?

Because Germany hates videogamers. I have a friend who lives there, and he often buys games on DVD from other countries.

I feel your pain. I bought Unreal Tournament 2004 from germany. I was fine with the green blood (I was shooting mainly aliens anyway) but the german voice acting killed it for me.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.

If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.

I picked up Hitman: Blood Money and the World in Conflict bundle. Both are incredible enjoyable, although every mission in Hitman seems to turn into a firefight for me.

I caved and finally got Far Cry 3.

Then the Uplay cloud didn't recognise my last umpteen saves, so... Yeah.

Back in the English morass

So far I have bought:

Sins of a Solar Empire:Rebellion- not very different from the base game but still enjoyable enough

Bind of Isaac- Not had a chance to play it yet

Unity of Command- one of the most difficult games that I have ever played. The AI is evil, frankly it is too good

Medieval Total war 2 and Kingdoms- I already have this but I am moving all my games to digital plus my disc is scratched

Shogun 2: Fall of the Samuri- basically more of the same, not that that is a bad thing

Farcry 3- better than I expected.

Dungeon Defenders- tower defence with loot gathering, ok but nothing special

Now I am waiting to see if the Secret world gets a flash sale.

Its just a shame that they couldn't fight off Andy Chambers.

Not officially. You can sell it unoffically by gifting someone the game though, or just give it away. Even if you do end up with a spare thats still a lot of good games for £20, unfortunately I already own all the ones that I am interested in.

It seems that I waited for too long to get the Secret World, it didn't get a flash sale and its now at full price....I just hope that my wife doesn't pay much attention to my bank statement this month

I actually didn't buy much this year, mostly because everything I wanted went on sale during Thanksgiving.

I ended up with all the Skyrim DLC, Worms: Revolutions, They Bleed Pixels, and XCOM. Though I didn't buy XCOM on Steam, I got it from Green Man Gaming for 80% off.

I got:

- Space Marine Collection (finally caved in - it'll be good for bringing me into the mood for some Deathwatch )
- Skyrim
- Napoleon Total War
- bunch of Civ5 map/scenario/civilisation packs
- bunch of DLCs for Train Simulator 2013

All that for about 85 bucks. Should keep me busy for another year - at least together with all the other stuff I got from the last big "X% off" sale and haven't even downloaded yet. >_<
