Really nice. I think that head and tail work really well for this model.

I am really digging the color scheme as well.

Still like it better w/o a head, but your head choice is definitely cooler than stock.

I really dig the color scheme but, if you need criticism, I'll go with a few

-Do the base with something complimenting the armor colors.
-Smooth out transition colors on the armor. That just means more layering. Its a time thing.
-hit the pinning nails with a little wash.

All in all, It would be a joy seeing it on a table. You did a great job.

great looking coversion. The omission of a tail on this model was a bad call by the GW team. The tail you have added definitely fits and looks appropriate. I like the color you have painted this model as well, the teal green works nicely

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard
650 points of my do-it-yourself Tempest Guard
675 points of Commoraghs finest!

The Dude - "Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, man."

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

Thanks guys its the color scheme i use for the models in my army that are heavily corrupted.
Its called the dark pact and centers around a few elite alpha legion and their ragtag band of less then perfect marines, hastily made and trained using tech bought from fabius bile.
Allmost all of them are freaks made using the possessed plastics and quite a few sport improvised weapons such as orc shootas instead of bolters and imperial guard heavy weapons.

1: Certainly, i usually do the bases with grey ashes and rocks.
2: I most certainly will do that eventually, but im a lazy feth and i perfer to get all my models up to a decent standard before i go nuts with details (If ever)
3: I did so but my camera is less then great.

Love the color scheme and the conversion idea, but I think you could take it farther. If you had a skeletal dragon in gray and white 'wearing' the armor plating this would be amazingly awesome! I'm not sure on the details of how to make it work, but it seems like a good idea.

Sorry, can't find the pics-- I've seen shop jobs of heldrakes with the neck cut completely off and where it is replaced with a maw/spikes/I forget. It looks kind of like a giant spiky Screamer and way more alien/less fantasy

I suppose i could but i wanted a heldrake that looks like its on the way to becomming something entirely demonic. A complete zombie dragon kit with armor would be cool though
