Ive been looking for a new army and setled on IG. I love the idea of them especialy all the infantry. Sadly this army is not in my budget or indeed anyones anymore, as an alternative i thought of mantics corporation figures. Has anyone seen them up close? Anyone have any pics for a comparison? I will be totaly gratefull for any info on this matter

Wow! Those Mantic miniatures are much better than Cadians, they actually look decently proportioned.

I was not a fan of those at first, but when they stand up next to FW models they do seem better than the gw plastics. Thanks guys i think i will order one of the smaller sets and put them onto gw bases

I'll be happy to proclaim that with the right bits, the Mantic corporation marines are quite nice. I use them as command models for my Elysians so they are fully mixed with them in the army:

Not at the moment but I'll shoot some more tonight if I'm not laden down with homework (first day of the term today).

So far I've used the mantic boys to build a 5 man PCS, 3 infantry squad Sgts, & 3 "Sgts" for my HW squads. I also used their rifles to make sniper rifles for my SW squad.

do you feel the weapons are realistic, as i see them as a little small incomparison to gw las guns, if i do a weapon swap you think they will be too big

I have another quick question. I'm planning on using the corporation troops as well. Can anyone tell me if the heads come separate? I'm sure they do but can't find a sprue shot anywhere. Also, if they are separate, does anyone know how the pig iron production's heads sit with them size-wise? Thanks

Um when I look at these models they look cheap and like 2nd edition models. Not really a fan to be honest.

They look much better IRL, they are nicely detailed, properly proportioned minis, without all the 'heroic scale' silliness of GDubs IG. But that's just my opinion....
