Out of all famous Guard Regiments who have the best tanks available to them?

I can't decide between Armageddon Steel Legion and Death Korps of Krieg ( space Germans after all ).

Krieg! What a hole...

Tallarns are pretty good tankers, the biggest tank battle of the Imperium took place on Tallarn.

DKoK with Mars Alpha pattern Leman Russes and Armageddon pattern Medusas/Basilisks, and lots of superheavies. Any IG army can take the same tanks, but DKoK get the best tank commanders.

Also, IIRC, DKoK uniforms are mostly based on WWI French, not Germans.

Personally, I'd go with the Steel Legion. The very name speaks volumes.

DKoK is most famous for its siege regiments, which have been noted to be the antithesis of manoeuver warfare, favouring attrition and stationary weapons over mobility, going sofar as eshewing self-propelled artillery and advanced armaments in favour of stubbers and artillery pieces pulled by tractors, native animals or even the infantry. Where they excel is their sappers and grenadiers, but ... tanks? I guess I just don't see it.

The Steel Legion on the other hand...

"The regiments that make up the Imperial Guard are raised on different planets all across the Imperium, and because of this they do not wear standardised uniforms, follow identical tactical doctrines, or all use exactly the same sort of equipment. Regiments raised on the jungle Death World of Catachan, for example, tend to be lightly equipped assault troops, while those from the Agri-world of Atilla are mainly Rough Riders. Those raised on Armageddon make use of the planet’s vast industrial might to provide plentiful armoured fighting vehicles, and because of this they have become famous across the galaxy as Armageddon’s steel legions."

On a sidenote, I think it's the Steel Legion who are the "actual" Space Germans - inspired by WW2 Blitzkrieg tactics.

And the uniforms of the Fallschirmjaegers. Ironically, the Wehrmacht mostly had their troops marching to war rather than giving them all half tracks, the FJ included!

On a side note, I really wouldn't consider the DKoK especially good users of their tanks. I read somewhere that their usage of the vehicles are considered to be backwards by some.

Thank you for your answers, I asked because I wanted to for my own armor Regiment ( compose entirely of Russes and Heavy Tanks ). I guess i will go with Krieg then, I will form 7th Krieg Panzer Division with it's brave commander Lord General Erwinuss Rommel.

On Krieg: they are World War I Western Front in space. Their uniforms are 1/3'rd German, 1/3'rd French and 1/3'rd Belgium. But to me they have more German feel then all other ( Kreig is German for "War" ) and if seems that they are mostly based on "All Quiet on Western Front" movie where we can see just how high for war Germans actually are.

That's why it has a friend with dual vanquisher cannons.

Yeah, probably tallarn or steel legion.

I'd go with steel legion personally, though. I always tend to think of tallarn as more about light recon than heavy hitters.
