What armies can mass AP2 shooting?

I know that Blood Angels can do it pretty decently with Plasmaguns in Assault Squads and Lascannon/TL-Plasmagun Razorbacks (especially with the points discount for dropping Assault Squad Jump Packs). Vindicators too, with an AP2 pie plate.

And the Dark Eldar can do it with their Raider Disintegrator Cannons.

I can't think of any mass AP2 in Grey Knights.

I can't think of any mass AP2 in Necrons. (Maybe a full Royal Court of Eldritch Lances. But I don't know that I'd consider that "en mass".)

Tau can mass AP2 with Crisis Suit Plasma Rifles.

I don't know much about the other 40k armies yet. What other armies can mass AP2 shooting?

4x Plasma Guns

4 Veteran Squads:
3x Plasma Guns each
1 Lascannon Each

9 Leman Russ Executioners w/Plasma Cannon sponsons/Hull Lascannon

Thats... 48 Plasma weapons and 40 Lascannons. This is before getting into what you can do with Platoons and Forgeworld.

EDIT: Forgot Lascannons were AP 2.

Pretty much everything except Tyranids, Grey Knights, Necrons, and Orks can bring plenty of AP 2 shooting. Daemons too, but Flamers of Tzeentch can get past 2+ armor so I would assume that counts.

Pick a unit that can bring a few AP 2 weapons and take as many as you can.

I got a 2k Marine list with 30+ Plasma Weapons

Sisters have mass AP1, if they want it.

Codex marines can take two plasma guns per bike squad, plus an attack bike with a multi-melta as troops if you take a bike captain, and then the bike captain can take a command squad with 4 plasma guns for the same price as a land raider with extra armor.

Their is a good chance that Dark Angels will be able to field a lot of Plasma AP2 goodness.

Tau can bring 3 suits per HQ and elite slot.
Plasma rifle and Fusion blasters are AP2 and AP1 respectively.

FA has Piranha with Fusion blasters and can take squadrons of 1-5 I think.

And Broadsides can take twinlinked Plasma and multi trackers to let them fire Railguns and Plasma.

And that's how you make an expensive Tau list.

Templar bikers get 3 Plasma Guns per squad and our Command Squads can take two plasma guns and up to four combi-plasmas (five if you count the IC).

Then again, C:SM can just go Sternguard on your ass. 30 combi-plasmas and that's just the elites!

GK can have a ridiculous and sickening amount of ap2.

3 servitor henchmen with plasmacannons and 3 PG henchmen with a las/plas razorback for 177 if i remember correctly. And they are troops so you can 6 on them for pretty cheap

Chaos can do it pretty well, with 5 plasma guns per chosen (Which can be taken as troops) 2 per 10 man CSM squad, Forgefiends with three Strength 8 AP 2 blasts.

Chaos could run Abbadon with Chosen troops loaded with plasma, Hellbrutes with Plasma cannons, Bike squads with 2 Plasma guns per squad, and 3 forgefiends with 3 ectoplasma cannons each.

The new Dark Angels supposedly can, they seem pretty plasma-centric.

No one beats IG though, between platoons, Plasmainator tanks, Vendettas and CCSs.

Necrons cannot spam AP2. AP2 is something Necrons really lack.

Well my wolves would not worry about death wing too much, plasmaguns galore on my hunters, plasmacannons on my longfangs and raorbacks, combi plasma weapons on my terminators etc.

Necrons however would brick themselves as the only AP2 i have is on my praetorians at the moment and i'm not buying 3 doomsday arks just to counter them.

Then don't.

Tesla, Death Rays, A Doomsday Ark, mass shooting all go a long ways to counter 2+ saves.

If that list didn't cost 4,000 points it would be pretty interesting to play hahaha

Well for orks
you can do 9 Zaap guns
5 battle wagons with zapp guns
50 mega armored Nobs
2 War bosses with power Klaws
so doing mega armored orks in the wagons you could field 66 ap2 weapons
