yes! gotta agree, these imps look as good as they get! really tough looking fellas...
how long does it take to get the camo done on one mini for you? your paintingskills have gone to places for sure ^^

I just use a tiny Atlas red sable brush, and a dab of Ceramite white thinned with a brushful of water and just make random forked squiggles, only a few minutes. I used the Sotar 20/20 airbrush for all the base colors of Intermediate Blue and black, I laid on the flesh basecoats with brush, and used Drakenhof Nightshade to shade the fatigues, followed by re-applying the int. blue on the high points of the fatigues, The black got Skavenblight dinge highlights, then do the boltgun metal and eyes last.

That camo' works really well. Good job.

well...doing something randomly is easy to say but for me hard to do... somehow my mind and hand gang up on me and create patterns that doesn´t look way too often not random at all... it is why i for now only ever did that one tank^^

I just used a Y-shape, alternating direction and variation. Simplicity is the key.

hmmm.... that is an interesting approach... yeah... simplicity is the key... too much and you can so easily overdo a good idea... with camo it can be that quick even...

I think my scouts will be getting a similar treatment after seeing how yours turned out. Once I get around to them that is, haha!

Heh, depending on the minis/world I make for them, the Khadrovians tend to mostly be of Germanic/Slavic origins. My UAMC minis however will be of diverse backgrounds, allowing me to play with different skin tones at last!

Well it's not like there aren't black space marines, just look at the salamanders. They are black-black, with red eyes, and the empire doesn't have a problem with them. An Dave the catchans have found the aloe from certain plants mask their smell, and keeps them from tanning.

GW stated that the SM skins adapt to radiation levels and other occurrences of their environs. My Dragons Errant are also a mixed bunch as they are space-ship based Salamander DIY chapter, so they are not exposed to the same environs of the Salamander home world.

I just know, the studio painters made them all white.

I'm interested, and good at growing two things, tomatoes and peppers. I haven't had me a salsa garden in probably 10 years now.

well, at least you are on time for planting the seeds /young plants...if you now cross your fingers...will this affect your green thumb in a way (note... crossing fingers equals squeeze your thumb in german )

I see the puppy was helping to clear debris from the battlefield. My yard is too wet to do anything to. Next year however I will try my inaugural vegetable garden, but I have squirrels and rabbits, so land mines may be an option.

hehe^^... we had a squirrel in our garden back then... it litterally ate the garden furniture... it must have been all that floral prints on the cushions that raised it´s appetite^^

In the house I grew up in chipmunks and squirrels had chewed their way into our attic and every night that we'd go to sleep they would scamper around the attic like crazy. I really sounded like they were bowling up there.

Now that made me LOL for real.. IMHO I would say It's also lacking in cover for the massed ranks of IG. There does seem to be some sort of fortified encampment going on in the background though, might take a few movement phases to reach it...

This is the 53 Chevy Bel-Air Hardtop, I built a model of this car, same color and everything when I was a kid!

Nice Bel-Air! Though, I like the mid-30s coupe sitting next to the yellow 53. Though I can't place the make on it. Most of the American mid-30s cars look roughly like that and I'm no expert.
