Nice pic Dave, we've got the fore-mentioned Emporium and Cinema, plus the pet store with house... Next on the list is the town hall - maybe next Christmas? Although the Parisian Restaurant may jump above on the want list - the scenic back is awesome, that's got to be one of the best they've done...
If you want the fire brigade, order it now. When they are gone, the scalpers will have the only kits, selling for about 300%

I was in the Lego store here in Glasgow yesterday (yes, I was perplexed that we had one too). Damn those prices! The whole thing kind of stuck me as a little odd however. I recall just having a big bag of random pieces as a child as opposed to pre defined kits (maybe the bag started out as those...). Still, for a child nowadays to get together such a bag would be a bit difficult considering the price that kits go for now. However I do seem to recall a friend of mine asking for lego for his birthday a few years ago and winding up with a similar bag as to what I had. Then again I think people were just providing him with their old stuff.
Oh, he's a twenty eight year old barman btw. He didn't show up for work for a couple of days after we bought him all those blocks.

Nice collection, Dave. If Ladygeek has even more, your house must be Lego-tastic.
I had very few actual Lego kits as a child (got a few technik ones as I got older) but I did have a huge drawer full of random Lego pieces. That's one advantage of having two older brothers...

I got mine and my older brothers. As kids that's all he wanted, now he isn't married, and doesn't have any kids so they are all my sons now. The one thing I can't find that we used to have is the old Lego technics people. They were about four inches tall if I remember correctly and had spots to attach the Lego to like the old toys centurions. They would be awesome now to make dread knights.

Yep. Those technic people didn't last long for some reason.
The thing is, Lego always at least holds its retail price as a set on the secondhand market, and often even more when resold per piece. And it's still better value than gw stuff

Haha! The first one is a bit bigger in scale, but the LEGO LR clearly looks like more fun to play with!

Yeah that Lego LR is simply a joy to watch! a real labor of love from someone very clever! :-) a little past me thinking about slapping a rhino chasis over some cheap wheels and chasing the dogs with it making pew pew noises!
