Ugh...Today it's -12° F (-24° C)and I am digging the driveway out (very slowly) from the 2 foot drifts. It's getting colder too! They say it's supposed to get down to
-20° I went to open the rear passenger door of my car and the door handle broke clean off in my hand! Better than the driver's door though

I think I'll stay inside and listen to some Otis Redding and Sam & Dave and do something at my workbench! (Sorry Max..no Space Wolves for me )

Not exciting, but there isn't much to do while waiting on primer to dry, so I took a picture

I do recall the coldest I was in was back in Germany 1984-85, -70 from a Siberian front that settled over us, the summer grade diesel in the trucks looking like matzoh ball soup as the paraffin congealed into balls in the fuel tanks, we had to get one truck started with additivie, and hook hoses to the exhaust to heat the next truck, and so on and so forth and kept the trucks running to keep them warmed up! ice formed between my leather and rubber boots.

Yeah for real Vik! Too much plastic in critical car components like that. It was frozen and just broke right off! My only complaint about my Kia in 6 years of ownership, It happened once before too.

The window of my wife's van was having trouble rolling back up because the motor n the door was frozen stiff. That was going to be a chilly ride.

Yeah, it's covered. My Driver's side handle came off last winter That sucked, having to wait for Ladygeek to open it from the inside while we waited for the part to arrive.

The weather had nothing to do with it, Dave has just been flexing his hobby muscles recently in order to tackle Gandalf and the hobbits. The car just couldn't handle the super dave kungfu action grip.

Bummer on the door handle. I winterise my car by rubbing some oil on all my door seals, stops the moister settling and freezing the door solid.

Nice rough broken edges...one can clearly see where it broke... It is of course known that cold can do this, but Iwas not rreferring to natural cold...damn that is almost ridiculous....nature shouldn't be allowed to this to us...


And shaso? that's an interesting figure of speech...I haven't come across this yet...what does it mean and where does it come from?

Just like rodents, horses teeth continue to grow with age, s the bigger the teeth the older they are. Their teeth do wear down though, so as long as they aren't chewing on hard stuff hey will have big old vampire teeth after time .

Haha I still think it's funny that Vik, hearing Chuck Norris' voice dubbed into German his whole life first heard Chuck's real voice and it was less than impressive.
