What exactly is this good for? It makes little difference when taking a morale check from shooting, and with ATSKNF they weren't going to break in close combat any way, so how is this helpful? It seems to me that the other special rules for other chapters are way better including c:sm.

Stubborn stops them from breaking in the first place. ATSKNF allows them to break and just not get swept.

It is actually a negative for DA to have Stubborn, since they can't get out of combats they don't like.

Yea but if they break they stay in combat like nothing happened with ATSKNF, So what's the big deal if they don't break due to stubborn in the first place?

No, the only stay in close combat if they lose the initiative test.

If they win the initiative test, then they fall back. The other part of ATSKNF then kicks in, where they'll automatically regroup on their next turn.

There are times where you want to fall back and then shoot whatever you were in close combat with. If you're stubborn, that's harder to do.

Oh right, I guess it's better then I thought if I am in combat on an objective and I don't want to fall back off of it. But if I am in combat with something I can't hurt that will be a problem.

With just having ATSKNF you have the chance of getting away and opening up shots on that unit you clearly lost in combat to so why would you want to stay there. You have survivors now and can shoot them off the board. Stubborn just all but guarentees your staying in the thick of it. If your losing that combat, abandon all hope.

I need to return some video tapes.

Or stubbornly face down your opponent against all odds.

I like it as a balancer for some of the other nice bits in the book.

There's a few things, soul grinders for instance.

It makes them being 14 points standard justified with ATSKNF.

Plus, it's Dark Angels. The epitome of GIVE NO GROUND, GIVE NO QUARTER. We shall continue the hunt for the fallen till the end of time itself! This is a chapter that used to be unable to move in the movement phase, and was forced to shoot the enemy.

I am not saying its a bad deal, just I'd rather have acute senses and counter attack given the choice lol.

So you want Space Wolves?

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.
