So, I've decided to go without vehicles in my starting Tau army. I'm going to field Broadsides instead of the other choices for heavy support. Of course, once I made this decision, I found that I couldn't buy them new anymore. Anyone have any suggestions on where to find them? Will the Forgeworld ones work just fine? So confused. lol
Thanks!

You buy a Crysis suit, and use Broadside upgrade sprues from GW.

Or you use the FW ones. They have the exact same rules, they just look nicer.

Are they Resin? I was told resin is hard to work with.

Resin is easy to work with, except when it's finecast, in which case you're going to spend six months demanding replacement parts (and replacements for the replacement parts) before you finally find a complete kit that, with a lot of work, can maybe be cleaned up enough to not look awful on the table.
FW Broadsides are resin. GW Broadsides are finecast. I think the choice is obvious.

I'll second the choice of FW. They look far superior and have been really resilient over the years. A few more bucks, but worth the looks and durability.
Having those long, heavy metal rails glued to plastic XV8 bodies is a dubious bond at best.

Finecast is also resin. So either way, Broadsides are not the easiest models. But I also prefer these:

You don't need to fork out for FW for that type of broadside...

Or get a Crisis suits with bits from Paulson Games. Cheaper and better looking IMO.

I'm expecting an Imperial Knights supplement dedicated to GW's loyalist apologetics. Codex: White Knights "In the grim dark future, everything is fine."
"The argument is that we have to do this or we will, bit by bit,
lose everything that we hold dear, everything that keeps the business going. Our crops will wither, our children will die piteous
deaths and the sun will be swept from the sky."

After you buy some suits online go to eBay or an online bit store and try to find extra fusion blasters and missile pods. On advance tau tactica there are some great conversions tutorials on making cheaper broadsides.

YES YES YES
You should seriously invest in this advice.
