That's because the Sens are best Canadian team

Sorry to burst your bubble, but we have fewer players than we have cups for them to drink out of!
It's been 20 years since the Habs last won a cup. That doesn't mean anything today. There isn't even anyone on the team who played for the Habs in the 90's, let alone then.

I've resigned myself to the sad truth that as long as Little Hitler is running things, no Canadian will EVER be allowed to win the cup again.
Oh well, at least we're 2-for-2 at beating the US for the Olympic gold medal!

Since the Blackhawks won again (15-0-3) Clearly the Blackhawks are the best team in the NHL. 33 points for the Hawks, and 11 ahead of the Blues. No other team is at 30 yet. Anaheim being the closest at 27 points, I have to ask you again: Who do you guys think is the second best team in the NHL? Follow up question: What is it like watching your team lose in regulation? Because I have no idea what that is like yet.

Yea... they're fething awesome now... I'll concede that they're the best now.
As to who's the 2nd best team? I have no fething clue... it's pretty wide open imo.

It's been awhile since I've seen a live game being played, but I get updates to my phone, and seeing the Sens lose in regulation sucks especially when it's a goal scored in like the last minute, because then you know there really is no coming back and tying it up. Though with that said, I dislike seeing them lose in a shootout as well, because as much of a goaltending beast Craig Anderson is, he seems like he has a little trouble in the one on one.
Though anecdotally, I've been playing career mode and got drafted to the Oilers (sad day). My first game with them, I had scored 2 goals, and as I was out from my line shifts, the Wilds scored 3 times (we were tied at 2), We managed to tie it all up in the third period with me getting a break away goal 10 seconds into overtime high up on the stickstide of the goalie to win it... I know it's a video game, but I've yet to see (in the short time I've been paying attention to this sport) anyone come back from three goals down in a period to win it...

Seems weird the way that eastern side is broken down. I'd have thought that the division with Pitt and Columbus would also have the Florida teams, and that the Rangers and/or Islanders would be with the Sabres and them northern sides.

I'm interested in this. Tampa will no longer be making annual trips to the play offs because they won't be the best worst team in a horrible division. Plus Detroit will no longer be stacked with the power houses that currently reside in the central division, and much fewer time changes when on the road.

This move will help the Wings stay in playoff contention. But, the Timezone + new rivalries are huge for Wings.

I've no clue what Coach MacLean looks like... or most of the players, though playing a few pick up games in NHL 13 has helped with the players. I could probably talk to Anderson, Karlsson, Alfredson, or any number of the Sens, and I'd probably wouldn't recognize them.

Wasn't there a game against Florida where there was a guy sitting behind him that looked exactly like him? I remember the commentators poking fun at him... Idk, could have been someone else... I mean I'm sure I could have seen him earlier if I clicked the links from the Sens' Twitter account No game for the Sens until Thursday Edit: Also it is not an awesome 'stache, it's a bitchin' 'stache

Blackhawks won in OT, there is no stopping them!
The Blues are going down.
The next chance the Blackhawks have at a loss (In regulation) will be March 16th Vs. the Stars or March 20th Vs. the Mighty Ducks.
Teams they will beat (or at least get one point from until then)
The Blues Feb 28
The Blue Jackets March 1
The Red Wings March 3
The Wild March 5
The Avalanche March 6
The Avalanche March 8
The Oilers March 10
The Blue Jackets March 14
That's 16 more points!
If they play like this they will win the cup again this year.

1 goal game on Columbus, had to take Edmonton to OT. That's two NEAR wins against two of the worst teams in the NHL.
Chicago is probably slowing down a bit. They had to go to a Shoot out with Vancouver, while Detroit just wrecked them 8-3 (second night in a row playing for Detroit).
Chicago's time is coming soon.

You missed ballball team s I actually think the Reds are major contender (I'm a Cardinal fan).
Did forget the Bengels... don't they always have good offence but suspect defense? I always keep expecting them to do some damage...
Are the Browns still in "expansion team" mode?
Back to hockey... you might wanna give the Blue Jacket a chance... John Davidson is the right man to turn around a struggling team. The Blues were literally GUTTED and had to stink up the joint for several years in order to get where they're at now.
