Also, Wooooooo! 2000 posts!

Shame it was so trivial and banal, I mean, I could have used this post to do real good in the Dakka forums, posted a treatise on how to achieve peace between the GW and PP fanboys, solve the still-unsolved rules debates, post some epic tale of humour and mirth and awesomeness, but no, I accidentally forgot I was at 1999 posts, so my 2nd millenium post is telling you all that one of my death-wishes is to land a punch on the Pontifex Maximus...

I don't really like Bucket lists, because if you don't finish it and you were dying slowly, you'd realised that there are so many things you still had left to do.

In fact, you have a list of them you made yourself.

I'm really happy with your response, before this I mainly only considered bikes like this:
http://www.adventurebikerider.com/component/content/article/42-adventure/68-bmw-f-650-gs-dakar.html

I love Honda's I actually prefer them over most brands. I want my first to be a Honda Shadow. Must admid one of my dream cycles (also one for the bucketlist
to stray to far from the OT) would be a Moto Guzzi California I love those things.

On the contrary, that was an amazing 2000th post, made me chuckle at any rate!

For my bucket list? Cause havoc in a cinema, popcorn everywhere, nudge past every single person who is sitting down, make rude hand puppets in front of the projector. Stuff like that!

The Dakar is a good little bike. I have a 650CS myself. They are getting old though, but well built (appart from a few faults) but for going UK to Aus you don't need something so off road. Most of it is roads of some sort, and just take a look at film of the Talaban. Two up, on a CG125, carrying an RPG across anything. IMO better to have something that can be fixed with a hammer and string doing that kind of thing than something that needs BMW parts if your in the middle of nowhere, but thats just my choice.

I did see a couple of guys near me a few months back from NZ who had overlanded to the UK on 15 year old CG125s. Everything strapped to the back. Brilliant.

Back on topic, I must own a Busa or a ZRR1400 one day soon.

I'd also like to, someday, see Australia. Although not by motocycle, I'd kill myself. I can't imagine I'd ever actually get to do this, my wife refuses to go anyplace where nearly everything is trying to kill you. Still, I dream of it.

What's life without some danger right?
Only thing I keep thinking is which countries I have to cross, not all that save either lol.

There is parts of Australia that wont kill you, you can leave your wife in the hotel whilst you go backpacking jumping from a helicopter into the outback?
