Americans can hardly agree on anything these days, but they all agree that Congress sucks!

Thought this would be a nice alternative to all the serious political bickering:

I don't get the hate for Nickelback, seriously. Yeah, their lyrics are lame as hell, but if I got nothing on my mind or just want to relax, I'll just listen to some Nickelback. And why not? :/

Thats so awesome. She Who Must Be Obeyed likes Nickelback. So I emailed it to her.
I'm sure one day she'll let me back in the house. But that is not this day!

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

Nickleback hate. It's a self-loathing kind of thing. Like being Catholic, yet you still touch yourself at night.

Well, at least the crudeness has only gotten more and more explicit with each subsiquint album!

Ever sat back and listened to Animals?
Or how does 'Something in Your Mouth' for a title sound?!

Every time this comes up I can't help be think that I don't Nickle back from a hole in the wall. I always hear they are some terrible band but I couldn't point any member out in a picture or name even 1 of their songs. You'd think if they were that awful even someone as culturally unaware as me would know at least 1 thing they did.

God no I can only handle like the first 30 seconds of that song its so awful. Great concert to get hammered with white trash at though. Had a blast.

Yeah, I rather enjoy Nickelback myself. I learned a long time ago that people will hate anything of moderate popularity just because someone else does. When i was in high school I "hated" Green Day because they were "sellouts" and all the kids that liked them were "posers", then I grew up...

This is pretty much the same thing, people "hate" Nickelback, but most people cant explain why that is if you ask them.

I hate them because they play such horrible songs while actually being really talented musicians.

Imagine meeting a dude with Kaspar Friedrich's talent who decided to paint cats for calenders because that was a steadier income.

I like Nickleback, although it does grow kind of stale if you listen to it too much. I find it funny how when someone finally breaks down and gives a legitimate complaint about it, namely being it all sounds the same, it turns out that very same person who listens to bands who do the same thing. Mumford and sons comes to mind.

I think the hate bandwagon is an idiotic concept most of the time, but this changes when dealing with Nickleback. So much hate, so few reasons.

I felt mildly offended that brussel sprouts made the list...I actually happen to love BSs...they're my favorite vegetable (when done correctly). Marinated in garlic and balsamic vinegar, then thrown on the grill? Hell yes. It should have been a forgone conclusion that BSs were better than Congress.

That said, I also like Nickleback: I grew up with them in HS, and Silverside Up was a fun album. Of course, they sound identical to Puddle of Mudd, so I had trouble telling the difference of who was who.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

-Because they sound just like that gakky bar band that tries -and fails- to rock your face off when all you want to do is have a drink with your friends.

-Because every song they've released since Silver Side Up has been whiny as Hell.

-Because Chad Kroeger is a d-bag.

-Because they really, really suck live.

-Because they are responsible for Theory of a Deadman.

-Because about ten years ago there were only 3 radio stations in Vancouver that played contemporary rock music, and from 2001 to 2003 at any given moment 2 of those 3 stations would be playing a song by either Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman or Default. I really wish that I was exaggerating, but I'm not.

(Anecdotally, I remember listening to Station X and changing the station to avoid a Nickelback song, and hearing the same song on Station Y. So I changed it to Station Z, and got a Default song. So I switched back to Station X in hopes that Nickelback would be done, and it was, but a Theory of a Deadman song was playing. So I switched to Station Y, and it was the same Default song as was playing on Station Z. So I cycled to Station Z, and they had begun playing the Nickelback song that I tried to avoid originally. This was in the summer of 2003. I did not listen to the radio again until 2008.)

I see your profile says you are in Kamloops, BC. Therefore, I call shenanigans, sir. I do not believe it is possible to live in BC and not know what Nickelback sounds like.
