I think you've got a lot of it.

But better put down something for the dead bird/ no dead bird...

I'm still trying to figure out how the laser cannon thing is any more toylike than any of the other enforcer laser like the burst laser or etc. Can someone elaborate so my overly excited brain can understand that point of view?

It's just that it's so two dimensional I think. Could easily be solved by clipping two of them together, or having the base flare out to be more 3d. The gun itself looks good, it's just so.... flat.

edit: This is the gun from Dandys xenos aegis defence lines.

Ehh yeah I guess I can see where people are coming from. I dunno if I'd call it toy-like as much as flat. Flat I'll agree with. Still looks in-line with other corporation weapons though.

Yeah it's not a big issue, and bits box should spruce it up nicely : ) The fortification stuff looks great imo, nice and chunky.

Yeah its a lit cooler in glorious 3d than on sprue renders. May have to get more fortified buildings scream scenarios. And can you imagine a battle systems interior with battle zone fortification tiles for the outside wall?

The tinfoil! It does nothing!

(I finally managed to convince the missus to let me pledge for the Stronghold level, and I'm ecstatic about what I can do with that and my DZ terrain!)

Imagine the feeling when you position your tanks, engines idling, landing gear deployed for a low profile, with firing solutions along a key bottleneck. Then some fether lands a dreadnought behind them in a giant heat shielded coke can.

Pic of a metal helfather and rear shot. Quality looks fine thankfully, nice and sharp unlike some of the season 3 dreadball we saw.

Good work! It's going to be great isn't it ; ) A match made in heaven. Or Birmingham, something like that.

edit: helfather, not forgefather

Yeah helfather, sorry had a brainfart. Have to zoom out and in and it works fine, for me at least. Maybe I should have linked to the dropbox.

Took a while to work out which baggies were .e.g. Marauder 2 and which were Marauder 3 but all done now.

My only gripe is that 40mm bases and the little baggies are loose in the outer box. A number of the counters had popped out of the sheet. This would not have been a problem except that my parcel arrived with a hole in the corner which was large enough that some stuff could have fallen out.

Thankfully I only seem to have lost a single cardboard token.

For Warpath, might I suggest buying in some sturdier boxes because i think we're going to be buying a shed load more stuff for that

OTOH, Mantic as I said earlier, sorted out the change of delivery with UPS within an hour and I got my stuff ahead of schedule so a big thumbs up from be on that score.

I'm really hoping that my Enforcer Captain doesn't arrive like this... A chunk of the neck armor appears to have been badly damaged after the model was ripped off the sprue.

Runnin up on ya.

He's even looking at the damage and thinking "WTF did I get up to last night?"

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do

I think that an "over enthusiastic" use of super glue in putting the model together hardly helps that picture either.

Whoever put up the Helfather pic, much obliged. Glad to see the metal casting quality is holding up. I'll definitely be adding that little fellow, and maybe a few metal character models, to my survey #2 order.

I do hope the damage shown on the vaulting 2nd gen's wall in this pic isn't common, and is grounds for replacement by Mantic without necessitating return shipping, though.

Dropbox link has Marauders too now. They look really damn good imo, I think they came out excellent, probably bumped up to my second fave faction now after the rebs.

Yeah not sure what the deal is with that terrain the 2nd gen is vaulting over. Mantic is really good with replacements. I can see them coming with the second shipment to save monies where possible which would be fine imo.

The Helfather looks OK but... integrated metal base...for the loss!

Hummm yep I'm removing all the bases and rebasing everything the restic is easy enough to do if a bit time consuming but metal is a PITA to remove the base from.

So, on the gun emplacement - it's a larger version of the Burst laser carried by Enforcers - so it has the same design, just larger and more detailed.

Well, if you refuse any and all replacement items and instead demand a full refund of your entire KS pledge... then yeah, you have to return it

I'm freshly back from the Mantic Open Day and it was great fun. James (M) Hewitt was saying that he thinks there was 300 odd people there today, I'm imagining there would be more, maybe up to 400-ish over the course of the day. - Especially as there were whole groups of people down the road at the Mantic Bunker off and on during the day for the seminars.

There weren't a *huge* number of new models to show off, just a couple of cases worth.

First up, we have the Zombie Troll Shaman and the Ogre Warlock characters.

Then we have some more of the upcoming Mars Attacks minis, including the truck and flying saucer. - I know I haven't seen the actual models of those two in a scale shot before.

Unfortunately, I screwed up and didn't take any pictures of Kings of War Badger riders.

I do, however, have some painted Deadzone ones. These include the metal Chovar/jellyfish guy, who I was told had well fitted ball joints. The model shown was a metal mini and was not pinned.

Please note the badass Plague Terraton in the background.

And here's the big, exciting piece of news, a new team (Or MVPs????) for Dreadball Extreme. - The Convicts! Sadly I only saw these guys after the seminar, so didn't get to quiz Ronnie about them. There's also a couple of the Abyssal dudes in the background from Kings of War.

I have a couple of other pics available, including the Deadzone Forge Father Brokkrs *AND* The Brokkrs for DREADBALL but sadly the Dakka image uploader is throwing a massive hissy fit at me.

Hmmm . . . for the Helfather, I'd be willing to cut and file the integrated metal base off.

...I will be getting so many of those chovar...
Loving the characters in the top pic; they look to be some kind of resin now? Any word on likely material for those? I'd imagine them being metal, but you never know with Mantic - could be restic.
Wouldn't really mind paying resin prices for one or two of those warlocks, though

As Mars Attack models, they could be the Resin Masters, maybe?

Edit: And I may have very well broken Dakka's image uploader!
