Ended up making a small landing pad, if I was to go bigger id end up using a ton of sprues. No problems so far with the clips, I've had to take bits apart a few time to get the right construction. I'd recommend a blunt cocktail stick if they get stuck, saying that its only happen on a couple.

Not too sure how the stairs work but heres what I've come up with, sorry for the blurry pics!

Well folks, Fedex tells me I have a 14 lb. box due to arrive from Mantic on Tuesday. I am excited. Now I can go on a spending hiatus for the next.... year?

Very nice Ed, that looks great - and suitably large! Easy enough to assemble? Connectors work well?

I just got mine as well, though obviously with the laughable dates mentioned earlier. IIRC from the video, it just means they've printed your label, as there's something coming in Wednesday that they want before they start shipping.

FedEx tells me I have a 40lb box coming though... Even 18 kilos doesn't make it sound much better...

Really, really wish I'd gone for more scenery. As well as what's in the game I've got 1 extra core battlezone and a landing pad. I know I'm going to run out of bits when trying to make stuff though, and having those fortification 'bulkheads' to snap in to make any structure look more fortified would be great. I also don't mind the gun, I think it's the stand that makes it look a little toy like, that painted black would probably improve the look a lot.

What's that you say? DZ tiles on the Mars Attacks KS? Hmm... you win, Mantic. Though I suppose the question is, what will ship first? Mars Attacks or the second wave of Deadzone?

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Once you get your head around how they work the sprues are very cool. Conectors are great tho I could have done with a few more sprues of them. Im sure we'll be seeing some very impressive structures built with them using the 45° conector and triangle wall section. Im very tempted to see just how high a tower I could build 1 cube wide

Definitely going to glue together some buildings and walkways. Just because it will be easier to get a board setup quicker. Plus I want to add some debris to the bases and maybe some mesh fencing across gaps.

really happy with the scenery so much so ive kinda ignored the figures! (Did notice tho none of my gobo snipers made it in one piece :( )

Just having a look around the net, didn't realise there was a TV series a decade or so ago called 'The Dead Zone', by Stephen King. And apparently a plague involved somewhere as well! Guess there might be some legal letters flying soon and all copies of Mantic's game withdrawn from sale..?

(Sorry, am just being very facetious.. !.)

This blog has got some quite cool pics of the DZ miniatures in it, inc. one of the plague Teraton, worth a look!

Just finished putting the stage 1 plague guy together, he is big. Like, taller than a Dreadnought big.

Made a bit of an adjustment to the stairs, see what you think.

actually the more I look at the landing pad sprues the more im convinced you could make a cool monorail system for your board.

Great pics @Edlowe, thanks to you and those providing detailed updates from the Open Day. Upon closer inspection I got a few bonus minis with my delivery, 3 Plague grunts and 4 rebs/2 Yyndi(???) commanders. Hope that this doesn't mean that someone else is minus these.

Still got to do a proper check on the minis but it looks like I got extra starters instead of the specialist boosters. Not a biggie really as there mostly the same content. Does mean ive now got 3 A1 plague to play with! Great for my future warpath army.

Did get some random Zee mvp thats tiny, not really sure what il do with him. I think il use whoever I get in my xmas box as the mvp for rescuing, or the dz giant which could be quite funny.

going to try to build a fortified gun emplacement next.

The Zee is for the rescue the dreadball MVP mission, some are going to use him as a rebel commander.

As an aside has anyone got a list of what was offered in the 1st Deadzone survey? I cannot find it in my KS mail and want to plan my 2nd survey purchases.

Everything was offered in the first an everything will be offered again in the second.

Except the 3rd party stuff like the Antenociti bits and pieces I believe they were first survey only. EDIT although update #100 seems to suggest otherwise

il have to pick up some plastic rod bits to see if it'll work but yeah I think the landing pad supports would allow you to make some cool rail support pillars.

Bit of advise for anyone with a stuck connector, use another connector on the other side to push the stuck one out! Works v.well ive only broken one so far but that was due to me trying brute strength, not a good idea.

Ahh yes I've got my notification too. I have the feeling i've gone a bit overboard at 32lbs =/

It reads as fedex international priority which reads as 1-2-3 day shipping. May be getting this sooner than I expected, will have to watch for the actual ship notice.

You still can - the second survey is sure to net Mantic an absolute ton of money, even if it is only for the scenery alone!

Mars attacks offered most of the same deals on scenery and is liable to come just a bit earlier too

Small reinforced bunker.

the fortifications bits really do bulk out the scenery adding alot of heft to the buildings.

the gun looks alot less toy like in the flesh and should pàint up well.

I ordered 2 of each in the first batch (on top of the 2 Core Worlds sets in the box) and I'm bound to order more.

Man, my 8 battlezones are getting me so excited now. Gonna have to go in for more terrain. I want enough for two 6x4 for 40k street fighting and enough for a heavily congested 4x4 "city" with multiple levels for infinity, necromunda, and deadzone.

I think my mars attacks pledge might end up having some of it converted into extra deadzone battlezone add-ons.

I'm putting some together now, following the 3d designs I put together during the kickstarter, will post some pics up when its done and time how long it takes from sprue clipping to complete board.

I think my first goal after I have enough set up to play regular deadzone is to make an attempt at a 2x2x2' "doom cube". I'm not exactly sure how to build it so it makes sense... but damned if I don't want to take heavy advantage of the vertical aspect of this game!

Going need more of everything before its over!

looking through my figs looks like im down a pack of three plague troopers, not too bad considering how many packs ive got. Il give it a few more days before I contact Mantic just to make sure im not missing anything else.

Was thinking how cool it would have been if the secret weapon plastic board had the sprue connector holes on it so you could just plug the buildings straight onto the board.

Going to give a single piece a test spray in a bit to see how my colour scheme will look.

OOoh, speaking of which, any chance you could assemble the big crate and put it with the canisters and barrels next to one of the minis? Never have gotten a good sense of scale for those
