So to those that have the female pathfinder on bike and on foot, is she worth the $20 they are charging on the survey? How has the casting turned out as I cannot really tell with all that different coloured resin.

I do have it, and I don't think it is worth the $20.

From what I can tell, the castings are well done and detailed, but some colors (especially the two heads I got in that horrid translucent blue) you can't really tell. Maybe once primed they will look okay.

I guess $20 isn't bad for two resin figures, with one being on the unicycle. I don't particularly like the multi-colored bits, and don't like the pose of the one riding the unicycle. If you are gonna insert scouts/snipers via bike the bike needs a scabbard for the rifle (and maybe saddle bags for other gear). Having the figure fire a rifle while holding the bike up with one foot isn't the pose I would have chosen.

Now, aside from my bitching about the different materials, the rest of my whining is style, and to be fair, we were shown sketches and I bought the darned thing anyway. Mantic delivered the style they said they would. Again, the castings, on the parts I can tell, did come out decently.

So is it worth it? It is a subjective call. I'm not too upset I got it, but now having it I wouldn't get another for that cost.

I was on the fence over it, and looking at the pictures I'm glad I didn't go for it. Something about the figure just seems off to me.

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Jake has the right of it.

Looking at the model it's not bad and it seems to hold pretty true to what we were shown during the early post-KS previews. On my pledge the price was a rounding error, and still like it enough to say I'd have bought it again. That said, I'm not sure I'd jump on it if I was on the fence about it. It's a decent model, but I'm not sure the value is there at $20 if you're wanting to be talked into it versus needing to be talked out of it.

It's a decent pair of models. I've primed mine and the translucent blue heads look fine. I'm fine with the pose- someone told me the bike is supposed to have a kickstand for stability, and I did see that part, but it was clear blue plastic and I chucked it thinking it was junk.
Is it work 20 bucks? I guess so, if you really want it. If not, $15 max.

Finally had a chance to do the initial survey of the order. Missing 2 of 3 Swordspawn, but everything else looks to be there in some shape or form. Only done the parts inventory on the hard plastic stuff and resin stuff and the only thing awry there is my Rebs commander has a broken gun barrel. That should be simple enough to fix though since the piece is still there.

Only question mark is the Enforcer booster bundle since I'm not sure what that's supposed to look like. With a doubled-up bundle I should have 4 baggies with medic+shields and 2 sets of specialists like from the starter, right? I'll have to tear into it more later, but I think it's either right or wrong in my favor though so we'll roll with it. Just would be nice to be sure.

While missing 2 models is mildly annoying and missing parts is still TBD, it's a heck of a lot better than Wave 1 where entire starters were MIA and one of my battlezones was half its correct size. The expansion scenery should be fun to tinker with too. Now I just need to worry about my terrain tub not fitting all this stuff.

Did you buy the Display Board? $50? Thats only 4 tiles.
Did you buy the Skirmisher? $125? Thats 16 tiles.

IIRC, only the display board was part of the Deadzone Kickstarter.

I just checked the original survey email the 4x4 16 tile set was an option for $150.

It sounds like they might have sent the wrong set? 4x4 is definitely 16 tiles

One booster bundle should have 2 bags of medic + shields and one set of specialists - should add up to 2 medics, 1 captain, 1 missile guy, 1 sniper, 1 engineer w/ 2 sentry guns and 4 shields. Plus two sprues of the hard plastic enforcers still to come.

If you mean you got two booster bundles, then double it, which sounds like what you ordered and received?

Really wasn't expecting the Captain but he came anyway, so that's a bonus in my mind!

This has been probably covered but with nearly 300 pages to sift, appreciate your patience.

Do the zombies have a value on the cards?
My buddy got some zombies and the cards but his had no points values listed (where you normally find them listed on other cards for all the other minis).

Is this intentional such as one of the expansion books (he's still waiting on his books) explains how to field them or a misprint? Thanks.

Zombies aren't a part of any force, you either use them in the solo campaign or as an additional hazard for both players to handle as they play a normal head-to-head.

They are spawned at the beginning of a scenario and during it depending on the set-up or if it's the campaign, so they have no points cost.

@Madwolf resin-plastic! Or restic, or premium plastic, whatever they're call it these days. Not hard plastic. Or well, everything but the forge guard is in the premium/restic mix and the forge guard are hard plastic but delayed to get them tooled just right.

Quick question--is there anywhere where I can see all the deadzone terrain sprues that have been released and what they are called? I want to get some sprues, but not necessarily full sets. Thanks.

I'm really torn on Deadzone. I bought it for a skirmish game with a campaign system, and while I like the rules okay, the campaign system is woefully underdeveloped. The sculpts are okay (I really like the rebs and the others are passable), but the restic "material" is utter garbage and I have little desire to use miniatures cast in it. I was about to offload all of my stuff and now I see Mantic might be releasing a good deal of each faction in hard plastic and making a compiled rulebook (which I'm hoping would address the problems with the campaign system). I guess maybe I should wait and see what they have in the store in the next KS before I sell off everything.

I found the restic this time around was pretty easy to work with. Assembling the Forge Father sets was pretty fun, actually.

That's good to hear. Honestly I just shelved everything after assembling my Plague stuff, the mold lines were terrible and hard to take off without damaging the models. If the newer models are getting better then I think I'll be more inclined to back the new Kickstarter.

Another request here for anyone who has the links to the missing items thingy and what should have been included with what in the delivery.

My second wave arrived byt right off I don't have the hard back collector's edition book. I was really looking forward to that.

I believe that unless your order was US$600+ in the initial pledge (not surveys) you don't get it. (I think it was US$600). You get the three other rulebooks in the slip case if your order is over US$300 (including pledge managers).

In that case, it's probably sitting with my slipcover and three rulebooks books in their Warehouse. Was it on your invoice and checked off? My books weren't even on the invoice...

My hardback was in a "false bottom" in the box ie the put the hardback in first, put a layer of card over it, then put everything else in.

Now you mention it though, I'm not sure I saw an invoice......:(

What freebies does one get for an order of 'tree fiddy'?
