Very well done. I really like how they look, the paint work is really good and I like the colours you have chosen. Can you tell me how you did this one's hair, I really like the way it looks.

I usually dont care for Eldar at all but that first picture.. just wow. Great colors, really stands out from the typical red/blue that most people do. That base is really well done too. The rest are done really well too, great stuff!

To do the hair on that first mini, I used a bigger flat brush, and put down a blue color, followed by a mix of that blue with what must have been a scorpion green. Once I established where the blue and green was going to be, I did some lighter mixes, and highlighted a bit.

Then I mixed a few glazes (one blue, the other more green) and shaded a few areas darker. After that, it was time to put in the lightest highlights! I hope that was helpful!

Wow awesome thread. Thanks for posting. I'll go with the one above that there's nothing to critique

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

Wrapping the quote in a spoiler tag to save some space but...

I LOVE what you've done with the helm here. All of the minis are really awesome, but this one I find reminiscent of the Void Dragon Phoenix painted on the Forgeworld site. I had always hoped to be able to do some Eldar with a similar scheme and seeing this guy is inspiring. Great work!

I believe I started out with a deneb stone mixed with a tiny bit of black. I worked more Deneb stone into that mix, until I eventually mixed in an off white to lighten the deneb stone for the lighter shades.

If you check out this blog post, it might help illustrate it"

Wow, incredible work. Sharp highlights, clean paint jobs and bright colors make these Eldar really stand out among other minis'. I bet these would really catch your eye on a table top. My absolute favorite is Asurman, the helment and plume look awesome. Great work and vision!

Oh....and another thing...extra props for accomplishing such a fantastic result on what I consider the hardest race in 40k to paint!

Best eldar i have ever seen. A single model would be the centerpiece of most armies. You should do commission work and i certainly would be interested. That asurmen model looks incredible. I thought mine was well painted but now i cant help but shake my head at what some people can do with these old sculpts.
